CRAM works great, Iran’s Majid works great, Pantsir works fine, etc. Chinese are experimenting to see if lasers can be used to melt the heat shield of a hypersonic cruise missile causing it to suffer structural failure.

The main benefit right now is long term cost savings. Which we know is the least concern of the bloated US and Israel militaries.

You're speculating on experimental technology. Seriously, 10 to 20 is far more realistic than next year.

All you're continuing to do is prove my point further.

Probably the old max range vs max speed vs best engine performance at what altitude conundrum.
Its a very decent improvement performance wise over the prop powered versions tho,and it will greatly complicate the defenders jobs,things like search lights and machine guns are probably not going to cut it with these variants and things like the coyote will probably have its work cut out as well,about the only thing that`d still have a good shot at this variant would be the laser guided vampire.

Biggest downside with the s 5 from what I have read at least unguided so you have to be short distance from the target I have to assume personally that iran has equipped drones with sadid Almas variant but saving that for later fight, also you would think they could have put 4 or 6 on to it probably would have reduced speed and how far it could go im assuming

Very interesting. Seems they purchased even the PGM. They are being used in reco/attack missions.
