Although the way this YouTube channel reports looks likes some children are reporting it. But the way they have access to PAF bases and Kamra plus PAF checks all these stuff before releasing them. To me it's getting quite clear that JF 17 PFX is basically a single engine stealth fighter jet program.

Honestly this kind of video is so rare from Pakistan to begin with so it's a good start. The producers should learn from other countries and take inspiration from their models.

These huge childish claims like "Pakistan is the ONLY country to do X" are obviously lies.

Sidenote: the video name makes zero sense and is a mish mash and the thumbnail is some fanboy stuff. Very unprofessional.

Exactly

Also this is footage from various programs and videos already released previously.
Sir this channel has several videos and programs recorded at Air Bases and Kamra about PAF and it's capabilities. Reporting style although is very childish. Also Bol News and few other channels also reported similar news in last one month or two.

PFX is an experimental program …. If they achieve the required parameters in the first iterations then PAF would in all likelihood go for mass production. Since it will be way cheaper than buying j-31s and tfx in large numbers.

Secondly I still like to think that this will basically be an enlarged stealthy JF-17 with a ws-10 engine. Because there is no way they would make a light weight stealthy version of Jf-17 if it still has low payload capacity and range.

Even if the program manages to be a huge f”k up, if they achieve half of prerequisites with local RND then I’d consider it a good struggle.
PAF will come out more competent to take on more of the work and domestication of tfx program.

Incorrect that nothing of significance is going on. Small yes, insignificant, no.

Baykar is setting up a production line to fulfill PAF's future orders. They were begging Turkish Aerospace to open office there (which is from when that slide) but as soon as Baykar stepped in they dumped TA.

Something I think you guys would be interested in seeing, was in the latest PAF magazine

my explanation for PFX was acm thought it was a cool name after seeing TFX lol
No, that's exactly what happened lol - we are just trying to figure out if this is a genuine single engine stealth fighter project (unlikely) or just a fully localised JF-17 since China is shutting it's production line down (likely)

My wish if the economy permitted it would be a licence produced J-10C all locally with some local Pakistani systems and build upto around 120.

I don't think there's any genuine effort from PAF to build an organic ground up defence industry.

They just occasionally buy equipment from China and set up small facilities to do a limited amount of work that is just instructions from China.

There's no proper ecosystem from proper educational institutions like NUSTs, to high-tech R&D complexes with all the machinery and yearly funding.

Just small facilities, get equipment from abroad and small batch of trainees from China.

JF-17 PFX will be a medium weight fighter jet program not a lighter one. It would have 10 to 11 or even more hard points and other advanced features. What I think happened is that although former PAF leader cancelled our own Azm project and we joined Turkish KAAN program but it seem many inside PAF were not so happy about it. So it seem they have decided that as we already are going to induct two 5th Generation fighters one from China and one from Turkey which are both dual engines we need a single engine fighter jet program also. And PFX is that.

Baykar assembly line?

in what sense of the word though?
"Production, assembly, and testing" - make of it what you will. I wonder if there's going to be a full transfer of technology and a full manufacturing line.

It is likely an offset package borne from the PAF's Bayraktar drone acquisitions. The PAF also said it is looking at stealthy HALE UAVs for strike, so this may open the door for the Bayraktar Kizilelma. I think an acquisition on that front would likely drive a substantive offset package, possibly involving Baykar setting up a production facility in Pakistan.
