JF-17 - Updates, News & Discussion

I am only asking for non-Western sources. Different social classes and professions have varying levels of exposure to events, which can easily lead to different understandings. Diplomatic circles, the Pakistani nuclear scientist community, within the PAEC—do you work in any of these departments?

During the years Pakistan was developing nuclear weapons, China and the Soviet Union had a very bad relationship. There was a war between China and the Soviet Union in 1969. After the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, Russia became pro-Western. After the Crimea incident in 2014, Russia's relations with the West worsened. China-Russia relations began to improve after being upgraded to a "New Era China-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" in 2019, and after the Russia-Ukraine war, Russia agreed to further develop the relationship and cooperate with China in developing the Far East region. Pakistan had nuclear weapons in 1980—so which year did the things you mentioned happen?

The U.S. has imposed multiple sanctions, arms embargoes, tariffs, and disrupted weapon import contracts with Pakistan—all of these are verifiable news. If you have evidence, I will accept your accusations against China.

I understand that you want the country to be strong enough not to rely on others, but for that, you need to study or work hard to build the country, rather than rely on hearsay to accuse other nations. This behavior is like Israelis using the Bible to claim that Palestine belongs to Israel—completely unfounded.

If you have non-Western evidence, present it. If not, don’t reply. By your logic, if I hear that the U.S. prevented aliens from transferring technology to China, I should go check what actually happened. Conspiracy theories are appealing. India even claims that China’s permanent seat on the Security Council should belong to them.

So if a Chinese publication didn’t post anything about it…it didn’t happen?

With all the american money pouring in from getting into a pact with the Americans. Just how zia did it, and in 1950s without other issues to worry on this program wouldve been much easier to progress.
And, how much money poured in for the nuclear program?

You think for a country created in August 1947, that had no constitution, no stock market, no capital, no money, confused and dazed, embroiled in a war, politically unstable, it's first priority should have been to launch a nuclear weapons program by 1955?

Something is cooking. Kyrgyzstan gearing up for a defence contract.

Maybe 2 squadrons of JF-17s?

Because, RnD doesn't exist.. And machining to produce any other weapon.

i think Rawanda would also buy jf 17s

Your probably joking

But I think African countries should get together and make the African Union into a military, economic alliance where they can deal with security problems within Africa themselves

So rather then one African country, spending beyond its means, they provide a commitment to provide support and forces for a joint AU force

And for such a force a fighter like JF17 may be a great option without political restraints that can have bases in different parts if Africa for quick responses to conflict

Kyrgyzstan doesn't have any fighter planes. They barely have an air force.

Acquisition of JF-17s would be a huge boost for them.
