AVIC's international trading subsidiary, CATIC, has been using a JF-17B3 specifically for foreign trade air show (with the AVIC logo printed on the vertical tail). They have no shortage of show aircraft.Well when Pak Prez visited AVIC 2 days ago we saw a Block III but it was not painted, so maybe they did not want to display that at air show?
There's no further reliable information available at this time. Also could be two seater is being promoted as a LIFT?
IMO.
Utilizing the JF-17B platform to develop a UAV command aircraft or an EW fighter is a possible approach. While the JF-17's RD-93 engine offers limited power generation, this could be addressed through engine replacement and a dynamic power distribution system. The resulting performance should be sufficient for Pakistan or other countries with limited military budgets. After all, the prices of the J-20S and J-16D are far beyond the budget and military needs of these countries.
