What scum bags the Afghans are
Some Ayat-i Kerim from Sura Al-Baqara to understand these scums:

And of the people are some who say, “We believe in Allah and the Last Day,” but they are not believers.

They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.

In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.

And when it is said to them, “Do not cause corruption on the earth,” they say, “We are but reformers.”

Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.

And when they meet those who believe, they say, “We believe”; but when they are alone with their evil ones*, they say, “Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers.”

NOWSHERA: A suicide blast ripped through the Darul Uloom Haqqania mosque in Akora Khattak, Nowshera, killing a top official of the seminary among five and left over 20 others injured, officials confirmed on Friday.

The bomb exploded in the front row soon after the Friday prayer as worshippers were leaving the weekly congregation at the historic seminary’s mosque in Akora Khattak, located about 60 kilometres (35 miles) east of Peshawar.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed told Geo News that Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani, the son of Maulana Sami-ul-Haq Haqqani, was the target of the attack.

Maulana Hamid, the vice administrator of Darul Uloom Haqqania and emir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S), succumbed to his injuries as he was being given medical aid, the top cop said.

He added that police teams were present at the site of the explosion and a search was also underway in the surroundings. Forensics and investigation teams had been dispatched to the incident site and the district police officer was also present there, the IGP said.

This was the last Friday prayer before Ramadan, drawing a large crowd of worshippers. The mosque is located inside the compound of the madrassa, whose students were set to go on leave, as it marked the final day of their academic year.

The sprawling campus is home to roughly 4,000 students who are fed, clothed and educated for free.

Security arrangements at the mosque include the presence of several policemen and a police mobile van, while seminary workers monitor visitors.

The mosque is situated at the centre of Darul Uloom Haqqania, with Dar-ul-Hadees adjacent. It is a large building where senior students pursue their studies. Nearby, there are hostels and residential quarters.

In response, the administration and medical staff of Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) — which is around 45 minutes away from the blast site — were directed to remain prepared for treating the injured.

The hospital spokesperson said a high alert and emergency had been declared at the medical facility to deal with any situation.

Latest reports suggest that the blast took place near the gate of the mosque from where Maulana Hamid was going back to his home, which is at a distance of 10 to 12 feet from the mosque.

The bodies of four deceased have been kept at the Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex, while the other injured are receiving treatment. Meanwhile, Hamid's body is at Nowshera CMH.

Condemnations pour in

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur strongly condemned the explosion, calling it a tragic and deplorable act.

He directed authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into all aspects of the incident and submit a comprehensive report.

The chief minister also instructed officials to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured.

"Targeting innocent people in a place of worship is an inhumane act," Gandapur said, adding that no words were enough to condemn such an attack.

He emphasised that all available resources should be utilised to bring the perpetrators to justice.

In a statement, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) spokesperson Aslam Ghauri, condemning the suicide blast, said that the incident in Akora Khattak was deeply tragic.

He urged party workers and volunteers to extend full cooperation in relief efforts. Ghauri also appealed to JUI-F members to donate as much blood as possible for the injured.

"We pray for the martyrs to be granted the highest ranks in the hereafter," Ghauri added.

This is a developing story and is being updated with more details.

EDITORIAL: It is an unenviable ‘achievement’. According to the Global Terrorism Index 2025, Pakistan stands second in the world — just behind Burkina Faso, and just ahead of Syria — in the ranking of countries affected by militant violence.

Moreover, according to the index, the banned TTP, which has been waging a bloody campaign against the state and people of Pakistan, ranks among the world’s top four deadliest terrorist outfits.

Before protestations are made that such rankings harm Pakistan’s fair image in the world, the data presented by the study needs to be calmly digested. The numbers do not paint a reassuring picture.

QUETTA: Armed men attacked the Levies and police stations in Ornach area of Khuzdar and set fire to the record and buildings, while in another attack they burnt the machinery of a dam in the Zehri area on Saturday night.

Officials said that a group of around 100 armed men cordoned off the main bazaar in Ornach to take control of police and Levies stations. They made police officials hostage and snatched their weapons.

“Armed men snatched all weapons and other equipment from the police and after ransacking the record, they set the police station on fire,” Yasir Iqbal Dashti, Khuzdar deputy commissioner, said. He said the assailants also tried to take over the Levies station. Their attempts to snatch weapons from the levies officials failed after the latter offered resistance.

In another attack, assailants burn down dam machinery

However, the armed men set a levies patrol vehicle on fire before taking away a police vehicle and 13 automatic guns and ammunition. Sources said that armed men remained in the area for an hour and later disappeared in the mountains.

In another attack, a group of armed men attacked a dam site in Zehri. Official sources said that the attackers burnt all machinery at the Sohndah dam. They also held the watchmen hostage before setting the machinery of the dam on fire.

“All equipment and machinery were completely burnt in the fire. The armed men, after achieving their target, fled the area,” said officials. A heavy contingent of security forces later reached the area and launched a search operation to trace the elements involved in the attacks on levies and police.

At least four security personnel were martyred in a militant attack on a security checkpoint in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Kurram district, a police official told AFP on Sunday.

Kurram district, located on the border with Afghanistan, has seen a rise in violence in recent years.

“Heavily armed militants” launched the attack on Sunday morning, a police official told AFP on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media.

“At least four security personnel were martyred, and seven others were injured,” he said.

Terrorist attacks have increased in Pakistan since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in Kabul in August 2021.

The Pakistani Taliban – known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) – is the most active militant group in the northwestern region and regularly targets the security forces.

Islamabad accuses Kabul’s rulers of failing to root out militants sheltering on Afghan soil as they prepare to stage assaults on Pakistan, a charge the Taliban government denies.

Last week, 13 civilians and five soldiers were martyred when suicide bombers drove two car bombs into an army compound in the Bannu district of the same province.

Last year was the deadliest in a decade for Pakistan, home to 250 million people, with a surge in attacks that killed more than 1,600 people, according to the Center for Research and Security Studies, an Islamabad-based analysis group.
