At least four law enforcement personnel were injured in a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) attack near Peshawar’s Bani Mara area on Thursday, police said.

Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed confirmed these details to Dawn.com, adding that police were targeted in the incident. “Initial investigation shows that the device that caused the blast was planted on the route of a police mobile,” he added.

The CCPO added that the condition of one of the injured was serious. Rescue services shifted the injured to a nearby medical facility after the attack.

Following the blast, a large contingent of security forces reached the incident site and cordoned off the area.

really ? you and other IK fans should be last ones to say this, because in every thread you bring him and insult Pakistan leadership, I don't care about IK ? my first comment was sarcasm which goes above your head it seems.
I am a trillionaire, I saw a pig fly yesterday.

Great attempt, shoddy try to deflect.

the results of the so-called "restraints" are ongoing and visible everyday

this is what happens when you do not strike the enemy.......you keep appeasing them and their backers......

jab tak india/afg ko sabaq nahi sikhaogay, ye hota rahayga......

seems there is no will to fight the enemy head-on.....no will to take it to enemy's own soil.....bas restraint aur appeasement chalti rahaygi, loag mertay rahainge...

They will need to completely flatten multiple Afghan border towns along with the roads.

Strategic restraint with an enemy that does not recognize your borders has not worked.

This is why I don't understand why Pakistan foreign policy is getting involved elsewhere when they should be building the case and making diplomatic space for atleast 100k Afghan collateral.

Cop martyred as miscreants attack police checkpoint in KP’s Kohat

A cop was martyred while a Frontier Constabulary (FC) official was injured when a police checkpoint came under attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat district, police said on Monday.

Recently, multiple areas of KP — including Bannu, Peshawar, Karak, Lakki Marwat and Bajaur — have witnessed terrorist attacks, particularly targeting police personnel.

Speaking to Dawn.com, Kohat District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Zahidullah Khan said that a “large number of miscreants” had attacked a checkpoint in Kohat’s Darra Adamkhel from “multiple sides” at 1am.

He said that an exchange of fire then took place between the police and the unidentified assailants, which claimed the life of one cop and left an FC official injured. He said that the exchange of fire went on for two-and-a-half hours.

“The unidentified assailants aimed to capture the checkpoint, but their attempt was thwarted,” he said, adding that a search operation was currently underway.

“Three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) have been recovered so far during the clearance operation,” the DPO said.

Meanwhile, KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi condemned the attack and paid tribute to the martyred cop. In a statement, he also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

“The sacrifices of the police in the war against terrorism will not go in vain,” he added.

The attack comes a day after a soldier was martyred and another injured when unidentified assailants opened fire on them near KP’s Bannu district.

On Sept 1, a police constable embraced martyrdom and another sustained serious injuries in an attack on a police post in Mir Ali.

Pakistan has witnessed an uptick in terror activities over the past year, especially in KP and Balochistan, after the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) ended its ceasefire with the government in November 2022 and vowed to target security forces, the police, and other law enforcement agencies.

According to a Dawn report, KP remained the most affected province last month, but also witnessed intensified counterterrorism actions. The province reported 45 attacks that killed 54 people and injured 49.

yea, someone is trying to bring back the war of terror back to this region, by helping mai baap get bagram air base(which the regional powers said absolutely NOT!)

Highly unlikely that our military leadership would 'help' the Americans get their hands on the Bagram air base again, since it would be neither in the best interest of us nor China, plus, there is the public opinion element as well which is already quite hostile. There are plenty of reasons why we are not 'helping' anyone get the Bagram air base, and I am quite sure one can easily comprehend what those reasons are.

October 7, 2025

Four government officials, including two high school teachers and two workers from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), were allegedly abducted from different localities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district, officials said on Tuesday.

Per the police, the teachers were “abducted” from GHS Zindi Musa Khan in Bannu’s Mandati Naika Zyarat area, which falls within the limits of Hoid police station.

“The first incident occurred within the limits of Hoid police station, which is under threat of militants,” District Police Officer (DPO) of Bannu Saleem Abbas Kulachi told Dawn.com. “In the past few months, the police station in Hoid has been attacked several times by militants.”

DPO Kulachi added that unknown armed men had taken the school teachers to unidentified locations.

Among the abductees were the headmaster of the school, who was a resident of Nekam Kaki, as well as a senior school teacher, who was a resident of Bannu, Bannu police spokesperson Kashif Nawaz told Dawn.com.

Nawaz added that both teachers were abducted by the militants when they were returning from the school. “A search operation is being conducted in the area to get the abductees released from the terrorists,” he added.
