Makkah Joint Defense Agreement: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

I am trying to imagine a situation, where Qatar ko Gali ke badmash cough cough Israel ne chamat laga diya aur woh rote hue bol raha rukh abhi londay le ke ata hun hahaha and here comes our 3 Turkiye/Pakistan/KSA haha.
just look at desk dirty work🤣 come on boys

Well said, that's why we can only guess the true intentions of this pact.

Well, if anyone attacks Saudi, Turkiye or Pakistan you will see the true intnetions

If it is Iran so be it, Muslim world fed up of your bulls**t now

This sounds like the brochure of a company that makes vaporware. Your weird examples of Houthis or Sindoor do not apply to Israel, a country with missiles and an Air Force that far exceeds India or Turkey or Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. In addition the Israelis have access to unlimited Western intel , EW, radar , weapons etc. I am not going to debate your silly nuke talk.

Do you think a Pakistan that fights Israel will get IMF/World Bank loans ? Or its elites will get visas to the most-desired West ? or GSP trade status in Europe ?

Do you think India and the Taliban will sit quietly while Pakistan is gallantly fighting far away Israelis to protect far-away Saudis ?

The target of this pact is not Israel.
You are right to apply scepticism and scepticism is always healthy when change is afoot. I'm also sceptical...of just about everything and everyone. This pact is no different. I hope my lingering concerns are proved wrong.

The situation of Israel remains more precarious than folks think, and it always will be, due to simple geography. They are constantly on the front foot in the region for good reason. Theoretically, it takes one single concerted assault, timed properly, and by an overwhelming enemy, to overrun their nation. This has been their status since their inception.

Indeed, Egyptian friends will tell you that they came perilously close to this in the Yom Kippur War and on one or two other occasions. You will no doubt know of PAF's consistent participation against the Israeli forces in this and other wars fought between Arabs and Israelis. In other words, we know each other well as (extended) regional rival powers already.

The issue of Pakistan's ongoing antagonism towards Israel is a logical move, given Tel Aviv's open courting of our existential enemy to the east. Historically, Cold War loyalties may have limited the Isr-Pak rivalry but those limiting factors are long gone. We don't need to reiterate the reality that Israel is presently one of India's biggest arms suppliers and is certainly the supplier of the most advanced strike equipment available to them.

Pakistan is left with no choice to be honest, other than to find a way to continue to confront Israel, if purely to thwart their direct assistance to Delhi.

On this subject of confrontation, we have seen what happens when an UNPREPARED nation is forced to directly fight against a regional hegemon ahead of its chosen time (I maintain that Iran was hastily forced into the situation it is currently in due largely to Hamas's ineptitude). Pakistan is avoiding the same trap by choosing the long road, rightly so imho.

I'm sceptical but also very hopeful. Much can be achieved in the coming decades. It is a difficult game though, as history's greatest games always are. Now is the time to keep making moves strategically, not to tip the board over and scatter the pieces.

Your entire argument starts falling apart the moment you look at Kahuta. Israel and India planned striking Pakistan’s nuclear programme in the early 1980s, after already destroying Osirak in Iraq. Pakistan then, was technologically and conventionally far weaker than it is today.

So what happened to that supposed absolute superiority? Why was the attack never carried out? Beause they feared Nuclear retaliation... Israel despite having all the military goodies is a tiny land mass.

Now coming on to the the the classic argument: Israel has access to “unlimited” Western intelligence, therefore every other strategic calculation in the region simply ceases to exist.

And whatever happened to these supposedly omniscient Western intelligence capabilities anyway? During the fighting, the Israelis were repeatedly striking mock aircraft, decoy launchers and other dummy targets. Apparently “unlimited intelligence” still has limits.

Israel has an exceptionally capable air force, nobody disputes that. But “far exceeds” everyone in every relevant category is fanboy analysis, and clearly shows your lack to knowlegde. Pakistan and Türkiye operate proper network centric air forces with AEW&C, BVR weapons, electronic warfare, and substantial combat fleets. Israel would be facing a modern military, not chasing Houthis around Yemen or bombing clear skies in Tehran

Nobody said Pakistan is planning to launch some heroic expedition to Tel Aviv to “save the Saudis.” The entire point of a defence pact is deterrence: making any adversary calculate the wider consequences before escalating. That applies whether the threat comes from Israel, Iran, India or anyone else.

I am more interested in joint production of munitions. I don't think any country will go to war.

Imagine joint production of kaan, siper air defence, submarines, Pakistan supplying conventional missiles and artillery. I think this is where the defence agreement should move.

Bring investment into Pakistani industry.

You don't have the cajones. Especially now that daddy America failed to do the same.

Iran would love to join this alliance but they are not invited, the Saudis will not allow it. During Malaysian Summit Iran was ready to sign defence agreement with Turkey Pakistan Indonesia Malaysia and others but Saudis over one phone call made Pakistan fold.

And who just bailed out Pakistan when the UAE asked for its back from Pakistan because Pakistan wasn't going to play by UAU's ball during the ongoing war on Iran? And who has done it many times over the decades? Right, it was Malaysia, or Indonesia, or Turkey! NOT!

You speak with the same exuberance of a typical expat living in some Western countries and sadly your views have been too tainted by Pakistan's domestic politics just like the Pahalvists living in Western countries.

Even the level headed Bharati analysts look dead worried! And, all the "bad memories" are coming back to haunt them.......

They're coping that it's only on papers for nobody else would die for Pak! Lest they should forget: Pak loses more soldiers on a day the other countries don't dare to lose in a decade....

How can Pakistan protect Saudi Arabia against Israel ? It has no technology or assets to shootdown Israeli Air Force, neither can it stop Israeli ballistic or cruise missiles. It cannot stop Israeli Navy nor the Mossad.

Saudis have a far more powerful weapon than Pakistan to deter Israel, and that is financial partnerships with Jewish-Americans. You are aware of the $2 billion Saudis gave to Jared Kushner, which he says he invested in Israel ? Well now Saudis and Kushner have teamed up to buy Electronic Arts, a famous video game studio for $55 billion.

Let's drop this fiction that Israel threatens Saudi Arabia or they are ever going to fight.
Al Saud legs started to shake when Israel bombed Qatar, and UAE made alliance with Israel, also Iranian missiles attacks, they saw their future and realised maybe Usa will not protect them like the first gulf war. So this defence treaty is extra protection for them, plus with Turkey they found ways to jointly control nations like the Syrian project, they will use this experience to slowly overtake Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Afghanistan jointly etc. Both salafism and Ikhwani alliance. UAE and Egypt currently oppose Islamists like MB so they stayed out from this, Pakistan is a small player except the military angle. Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain will be next, and if UAE, Egypt change their policies they will too join, plus Syria once it becomes stable.

Saudi bailout of Pakistan is to take advantage of the misrule and corruption in the country and to force it to obey the Saudi agenda. It is not done out of love and concern for Pakistani people.

Not a fan of these defensive pacts with foreign countries, we have no control over the foreign policies of these countries so why should we send our soldiers to die fighting other nations' wars just because they may declare a war on a country that has nothing to do with us thousands of miles away. I think this is also unfair to our soldiers who made an oath to die defending Pakistan not saudi arabia or turkiye.

FYI This news seems to be making top story in most international news sites.
Some articles are suggesting US approval of this in private
As for the US strategists under the Monroe Doctrine 2.0, it's the most optimum output as a deterrence.....

Take a leaf from Syria. It's unofficially the first step toward Greater Israel. Reshaping of the middle east is already under way.
