China has two options, over land and sea. while you India has just one. that fact itself means you are half locked. besides, if India's geography is really that good at you boasted, why India doesn't have much sea bound trade and big ports?

Learn about 3 island chains....

China is a single coast line country. Taiwan and 1st island chain starts right in front of mainland China coast once you cross few kms.... good for fishing but not good for real maritime access and global connectivity....

See everywhere they are blocked by SK, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines and US sitting on most of the islands, then there is Australia further south.... at Malacca they have Indonesia and India... Sunda they have Australia, India and USN IOR fleet once again....

Road transportation do not offer you the volume you can bring by sea route..... Also in full fledge war against America these countries will be under constant fear of getting bombed by USAF to halt Chinese land supplies.....

When I look at China map I would say this country is an utter geographical and maritime mess....

Duh, look up the definition of a maritime nation, not just make up your own definition of a maritime nation, what you say is just your prejudice, counts nothing. China is arguably the largest maritime nation in the world while India may not qualify. Stop your nonsense argument. If China is not a maritime nation, China cant be the largest seas and oceans trading nation, the largest seas and ocean fishing nation, with most large ports in the world, the biggest shipping industry in the world and the largest navy by numbers in the world, simple as that, just think, have some brain. Just because there are a number of islands spread out in nearby seas of China doesnt mean China is not a maritime nation then, lol.
