America has more coastlines than you, Japan being an island country automatically is more maritime country than China are behind in this chart....
Australia can't even seen in the chart but they are the biggest island nation and obviously more maritime country is not even in the chart..... doesn't change the fact your geography is compromised, you are a prisoner of your own geography....
You are largest manufacturing country hence your trade is larger.... keep trading.... don't ever think of any misadventure if you do you will be forced locked into your very narrow sea corridor from mainland coastline till Taiwan.... like a no fly zone it will be no sea access zone will be executed and you are very vulnerable to loose because of congestion the islands under enemy control.....
