According to the newspaper, Morocco has contracted 18 TGV-M high-speed trains
18 high-speed trains are part of a major Moroccan deal that includes 168 various trains. The tender was launched on October 11, 2023:
The value of the deal is $1.6 billion, and Morocco requires the local manufacture of trains while developing the complete manufacturing chain in Morocco for various types of trains.

- 18 TGV high-speed trains (French ALSTOM train selected)
- 50 RER train, which is like the metro, moves between regions and will pass under the city of Casablanca
- 40 high-speed trains to connect between cities
- 60 long distance trains

Huge Chinese-Saudi investment in Morocco
The Saudi company “ACWA Power” announced an initial investment of $800 million (8 billion Moroccan dirhams) to develop a wind energy station in Morocco with a production capacity of up to 500 megawatts.
This project aims to provide clean and sustainable energy for the electric car battery factory of the Chinese company Gotion, which will be established in the Kingdom.
The project reflects ACWA Power’s commitment to promoting the use of renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions, and is part of Morocco’s move towards achieving its goals in the field of sustainable energy and expanding its clean energy infrastructure.

Morocco ranked second in the classification of countries on the African continent in the Economic Stability Index for the year 2024, which measures the performance of 89 countries around the world, according to the American media network US News and World Report.
The index report based its classification on an opinion poll conducted between March 22 and May 23, 2024, which included more than 17,000 people, including approximately 4,400 participants who were decision-makers in the field of business.
The report relied on standards of quality of life, cost of living, quality of the labor market, income equality, quality of family life, political stability, safety, security, health care, and the presence of an advanced educational system.
