Our India headache - and how to cure it

No reason at all Iran cannot totally eclipse UAE 20 years from now and become an economic power. This represents massive opportunities for Pak in terms of employment of our labour, energy imports and connectivity. Massive opportunity here, which of course makes Modi's absence from Kohmeani's funeral even more absurd.

Right! No matter what people say: Fossil fuel is extremely important now and will remain so for years to come. The renewables are very nice to have but they have yet to globally make the same impact; the Chinese have been an exception but even they need the fossil fuel for many more years.

And there are a few Pakistanis I personally know who think the Partition was wrong and that there should have been only one country. Such ignorant fools, despite enjoying all the benefits of being Pakistani citizens, make my blood boil with rage!! Not only are they ignorant of the precarious life of the Indian Muslims since Modi 2014 but they also devalue what Pakistan has given them.

One of them lives in Karachi, got nearly free college education in Pakistan, has a decent career, has three college kids getting scholarship in good universities of Pakistan. His brother also graduated nearly tuition free in Pakistan, came to America about the same time as me and got good college education here and like me built a successful life here--from the nearly free education in Pakistan. Both the brothers are ungrateful about what Pakistan has given them!

Then there is a close relative in Karachi who marvels at some successful relatives in India. Yeah, they are successful but so are many of the youngens in Karachi: Successful.

Some people, especially the Mohajirs/Urdu Speakers, take the misgovernance of Karachi city too far! Ungrateful bunch! BTW, I am also a Mohajir.
A very instructive illustration for Pakistanis to take heed of. Yes, among the diaspora, similar concerns persist, but mercifully, Modi is so single handedly oafish that he is making the "aman kee asha" crowd course correct. With Yogi on his way, this process should accelerate.

Sindhi hum, balochi hum, punjabi hum, pathaan hum (+ several groups not mentioned in the famous milli nagma before anyone bites my head off!). Pakistan is all that ever mattered to all of us.

Back in the mid 80s, if I recall correctly, the tuition at the University of Karachi was only about $20-50 per semester! There would be a little extra 'lab fee' for some lab work. The education was good enough for me and some other Pakistanis who graduated to pass the GRE and come to America and get our Masters from very good universities. And how ungrateful for some Pakistanis to devalue what was given to them! I have worked at a major university for ten years in America and know how expensive a four-year degree is and know how many bartenders are college drop outs and how many college graduates are saddled with large student debt.
Once, irritated, I mentioned to the friend in Karachi: Look at what you got from your near free college education in Pakistan and look at the scholarships your kids getting and look at your own career before talking about joining with India! He said, well, I had to work hard for all that that. I said, we all have to work hard in life unless we are born with a silver spoon!
Effing ingrates!

Pakistan would do well to be cognizant that Iran is capable of genuine scientific innovation and execution, whilst the UAE is just a petrol station, run on foreign labor and headquarters for global corporations in the middle East.

I don't think Iran would want to be another UAE, the idea probably horrifies them, they will develop their own aesthetic and approach, i reckon anyway

India has recently reached a "sisterly" diplomatic agreement with Japan, has it?What agreement have you reached between you?

Abeyance is a meaningless word with repsect to IWT. This has been explained ad nauseam on a different thread. You can have a god called "abeyance" and build a temple to it for all we care. We shall deal with Hindustan as we please.
Semantics of it is not relevant. Does it matter if I use abeyance or suspended, your argument is "India can't do that".

Yes. As explained to you on another thread, you can either break the treaty or adhere to the treaty. You cannot suspend, place in abeyance, or any other synonym you wish to deploy for the same. This is a contract that has terms.

Did you break the treaty?

Is that what you're trying to not say?

That's a question only you can answer. Because again you are dwelling in smenatics. Are you getting stipulated datas? Is Indus Water commission meeting once a year, are you getting access to water storage facilities, do you get blueprints of our ongoing constructions? And you gonna say India can't do that. Well yeah.

Its about tunnel project India have planned to steal Pakistan water. Don't go there and everything will be fine. Indians eat Pakistani salt and also want to starve its people, this namak harami will not be allowed.
Yeah we will go there though, we are expanding canal networks because we need to increase irrigation. But even if tomorrow our relationship normalise the Canal system won't be an issue because it'll simply be used for diverting excess water. Also no, we don't eat your salt if you are referring to the fake medicinal salt called pink salt then nobody really uses it dude, it's a niche market. We use common tablesalt it's available in our salt farms.

I am not asking what India is or is not capable of. Kindly do not obfuscate my query.

I am asking a simple yes or no question.

Did India break the Indus Waters Treaty?

Why are you jackasses so ashamed to answer this particular question? (Small correction - one of your countrymen did answer it after some coercion. Is it your turn now?)

Did India break the Indus Waters Treaty?
We did the moment we stopped sharing hydrological data.

Do you think we are ashamed? Lmao... We are actually quite happy about putting treaty on hold. We got you exactly where we want.

So you broke it or put it "on hold"?

Why do you contradict yourself within the same breath?

Man do you think I give a flying F about breaking the treaty, putting it in abeyance, suspension of treaty? No. You yourself is obsessed with wording we care about actions.

Try not to get emotional over a simple yes or no question. Try to answer it instead. I know it's difficult. In your case, I would recommend a laxative if you're struggling to get the right words out.

I recommend mailing them to Pindi. We are not the one's running from pillar to post, it may ease their travel.
