1 - There is no way Turkey wants to or needs to buy the JF17 Block III. They are after the Eurofighter and the F16Vs are signed for.
2 - Why is PFX on the same line as TFX/KAAN ?

I dont recognise this twitter handler so i suspect it is the usual rubbish that goes around !

Can someone kindly explain What next generation here means?
If its Fifth Generation then it means the PFX isn't the JF-17 Block 4 as was being propagated recently. In this scenario does this mean that this is the Project Azm fighter? (which also means that it hasn't been merged into KAAN)

This guy ENTAI and some of his partner accounts usually post fan made click bait posts. He has been corrected multiple times by people after claiming he has "reliable sources". He even made the claim that PAF pilots have already started training on J-31 and it will be inducted in 2025, which was challenged by Rupprecht with a detailed post on why its not possible, yet ENTAI never replied.
There is a distinct pattern to their posts, especially with JF-17 and its sales. They post it quite regularly without waiting anything for verification. Last time they made the claim that Iraq has placed order for J-17 Block-III because in the PAF video it was written Iraqi delegation has shown "interest" in the platform.

I honestly don't (really) know where to start...

As of late - at different stages, we've heard rumors of "Acquisition" of various equipment from Trainers to 5 Gen. AWAC to Attack. I suupose the only thing missing in the fold are Refuelers & Transport, huh.

1. L-15 Trainers
2. J-31/35 - the most popular trend
3. Kaan - but that is far from reality
4. Global 6000 AWAC
5. Some J-10

and now..., some are talking about an interest in the J-16D.

All five are coming. And the thing you mentioned before hopefully will be bought also. As for J 16 EW that is just a wish of one YouTuber but I don't see it happening. Global 6000 will be EW not AWAC

J-16 has been talked to death. Its not happening. Never will. China cant sell flankers without russian permission which they never got in the first place to make J-11/J-15/J-16.

1. L-15 arent rumors but part of the ongoing search for a next gen trainer. Whether there is any fire to this particular smoke remains to be seen.

2. J-31/35: would seem like there is more flame in this rumor, given there have been mentions at senior PAF levels.

3. KAAN is a mystery. Could be PFX but could also be acquired off the shelf. Also could be nothing other than a fanboy wet dream. At this point id imagine PAF would likely follow the PNs route of buying off the shelf solutions for immediate need (J-31/35 is to FGFA need what Tughrail is to PNs need for immediate major surface combatants) while trying to work with Turkey for a JV on a longer term solution (KAAN is to FGFA what Baburs/JCF are to PNs long term surface combatant need). But as usual to respond to whether it will actually happen: "the answer is money, what's the question?"

4. Global 6000. I think this is not meant to be an AWAC, but a standoff EW specialist/Jammer in the vein of Havasoj (rather, exactly HAVASOJ). MY understanding is its a done deal and the aircraft was already acquired but i may be mistaken.

5. Some J-10. See "money/question" comment. If the funds are available PAF will definitely get more (they need to replace another 90-150 or so aircraft as soon as possible - F-7pg and ROSE mirages). The key is funding.

1. Delivery slowed due to lack of funds apparently but will follow or be concurrent with J-31s.

2. Funds scrounged but delivery timelines are likely not until next two years - not just from airframe perspective but groundwork in PAF needed

3. Wouldn’t worry about it for another 8-10 years

4. Not AWAC - Havasoj Lite standoff jammer

5. Can be delivered tomorrow but funds being kept for J-31 and looking at IAF actions - in a way it’s a game of chicken to show them J-31 and put them in overthinking mode vis a vis Rafale(even though it is an excellent acquisition)
