Pak-Afghan Border Skirmishes and Terrorism Watch

Hitting them when they are identifiable is not a issue....

It's when they hide amongst the population and spring out is when we have issues
Yes, General public needs to be made aware but sometimes people need to understand the friend and foe difference like the DG ISPR pointed out today, the railway bridge that was destroyed by terrorists in Baluchistan last week wasn't a military facility, only the locals benefited from it.

Shows a good coordination b/w drones and artillery. Way to go....

When the Afgans are your neighbors you can't just remain idle for they won't remain harmless. You must fight them back hard or die.....

The plus side is you're constantly battle ready hardened by 24/7 bloody engagements....

Is this more common in certain areas along the border?

I hope the PA maps out the human terrain as well, in the post action report. Find out if these were linked to smuggler networks (inside Pakistan and Afghanistan) and follow back the smugglers to find ways to deter them further, so the Afghan factions that instigate this with unprovoked firing are dissuaded before it even gets to this point, next time, and those individuals or groups looking to financially benefit on the Pakistani side of the border know they will be caught and punished severely.

Crime doesn’t pay

"Pakistani forces and the Taliban started again in the Zaza Maidan of Khost
Local residents in Zazai Maidan district of Khost told Afghanistan International that the war between the Pakistani forces and the Taliban has started again on the Durand Line.

According to these residents, this time both sides are using heavy weapons and the heavy shells fired by Pakistan have hit a number of houses in the territory of Afghanistan, but there is no information about the death toll.

They say that because of the ongoing war, no one near the line can leave their homes and all the people of Patak, Paluch and Stevan areas are stuck in their homes.

A number of families had already left their homes for fear of war.

According to local sources, the Taliban have been trying to establish two checkpoints in Paluch and Patak for some time. But Pakistani forces have opposed it.

So far, the Taliban and Pakistan have not officially said anything to the media about this war.

This is not the first time that there is a war between the Taliban and Pakistani forces on the Durand Line; There was a fight in this area for three days. Before this, there have been wars between the two sides in Torkham, Kunar, Paktika and Khost"
