Pakistan's indigenous FAAZ-2 BVR air-to-air missile is now in the final stages of development.

Having a 20 km greater range and a better NEZ (No Escape Zone) than India's Astra Mk-2 bvr air-to-air missile, FAAZ-2 will maintain PAF's edge [of first shoot capability] over IAF.
