Pakistan General Elections 2024

The bottom line is, we're moving quickly to PDM 2.0. That is the reality.

The media is positioning or pushing that narrative (just check the editorial of Dawn today), and the PDM lot are pushing this inevitability (Ahsan Iqbal has just tweeted this is what they will cobble together).

The fact the compromised judiciary (especially SC) will also back this means the people's mandate has been stolen (despite all the documentary evidence).

Two dynastic families are being forced once more to rule over us. And we're fairly helpless in the face of it given the state machinery from Security to the Supreme Court is fully backing it.

No one will deal with them and western allies take this stuff very seriously. Let's just say the west ignores things what of the Middle East, China etc. Do they want to continue with a government at war with the majority of it's people, whose youth despise them? Nations think ahead and with Pakistan having one of the youngest populations in the world they know this won't last.

I'm afraid that won't be the case here. With respect to the US, if you saw Matthew Miller's tweet post election, and every single State Department press conference leading up to the election, there has been ZERO condemnation of the brutalities against PTI. ZERO.

Everything that's in open view, video evidence, all of that has been padded away with the stock "we would like to see free and fair elections in Pakistan". This is despite numerous journalists expressing the ongoing fascism, and absurd sentencing of IK in these briefings. The US isn't interested, they have Whisky's back 100% and don't want IK / PTI back.

Even Cameron's statement was a muted affair and no Western captial has expressed any strong diplomatic language (i.e. 'outraged', 'deeply concerned') or warned of consequences if the people's mandate isn't respected.

Therefore, the PTI are on their own in this. The courts won't support us, nor will the mainstream media, the security establishment will continue its crackdown, and the engineering will bring in PDM 2.0.

Of course this will only lead to bitterness, resentment and instability. But those desperate to loot and plunder care very little for that.

We're in a tragic situation where Zardari is demanding that Billy Boy be made PM because 'it's his wish to see him as PM whilst he's alive'.

That's what we've sunk to.

PTI's core committee who issued tickets is currently under fire on social media and rightly so, trojan hourses of ****'s and corrupt lot is still there in party.

They gave this wrong number, an ex-Noonie a ticket over the likes of Musarrat Cheema who was turned down.

There'll need to be some questions asked how such a poor decision could be made, and who is responsible for it.

It's not first time, PTI did same in 2013, 2018 elections. Issuing tickets is lucrative job in political parties with support base, plus Faujeets implants are there to bring people of their choice to assembly for their dumb engineering projects.

Looks like game is over. PDM 2.0 is coming to power. Asim Munir is succeeded by imposing PDM tola again on nation after daylight robbery of people's mandate. Independents are coerced to join PML N. Judiciary is already sold out. No hope from International community.

still PML+PPPP will work if PTI gets additional seats from courts
PPP+PML+MQM will work

both Punjab and center PTI is the largest party

If anything, the West is wary of the Pakistani army. Remember, at the height of WoT in Afghanistan the US/NATO accused the Pakistani army of duplicity. The Pakistani army is an old age adversary of the West.

There is a reason why the Western countries are suddenly cashing in on the current situation and calling for free and fair elections. This is an opportune time to step in and further add more gasoline to a raging fire against the Pakistani army. Especially when a huge number of Pakistanis are angry and dissatisfied with the role of the generals. It is win win for the West.

Yes they are, but then the militaries of the two still hold the Pakistani forces in high regard out of professionalism. It's at the state level things will count.

They don’t control the flow of capital. Yes, they can approve IMF loans but can’t force companies to invest.
