Targeting establishment won't serve democracy, country: Siddiqui

Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), has urged all political parties to express a spirit of sacrifice and unity to steer Pakistan out of its current crisis, cautioning against targeting the military establishment as detrimental to the nation's well-being and democratic stability.

Speaking at a press conference held in Karachi, Siddiqui underscored the challenges Pakistan faces, including economic woes and the persistent threat of terrorism, against the backdrop of recent elections.

"This is the time to sacrifice one's part to get the country out of the worst crisis," he emphasised, stressing the need for political parties to prioritise the national interest over partisan agendas.

PTI’s choice for leadership may be strange in some instances. Although Ali Amin for KP CM is a good choice. These are extraordinary times.

PTI would be well advised to tone down the political temperature and continue to apply limited pressure on the PDM as a mature opposition.

PDM do not have the public mandate and its public knowledge whose behind them. So let them be.

You make it out as if he's choosing a worthless and inexperienced individual. In terms of credentials and experience, it's a solid political resume with a strong grasp of Finance including:
  • BBA and MBA degrees from George Washington University (1993 & 1996)
  • Minister of State for Finance (2004 - 2007)
  • Recognition - Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum (2007)
  • Chairman Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs (2014 - 2015)
  • Federal Minister for Power (2018)
  • Minister of Energy to Minister of Economic Affairs (2021)
  • PTI Secretary General (current)
Now compare that with the looters from the Noonie gang, or even Billo Rani who's vying to be PM without a days work to his name.

Additionally, he's stood strongly with IK just like AAG and that loyalty is being rewarded despite him suffering from the current state fascism:

Ali Muhammad Khan has natural instincts for leadership
You hear his speeches and you get goosebumps; you hear his thoughts for Pakistan and they make sense; he is not a loudmouth ser pandeyanga type guy, he can talk to every party and unite them for common good
He should be groomed as a future leader not to mention he is relativity young too

Ayub on the other hand is just a dictators grandson who switches parties like men changing their underwears

PTI doesn't give AMK the kinda respect he deserves, they are wasting his talents (nor do other genuine leaders tbh - he chose lota Buzdar for Punjab and Mehmood drunkard as CM, tells you all what you need to know)

Thank the lord that people are angry at establishment so PTI got votes or else it wasn't looking good out there

And did he have a choice in being that? No.

Has he pushed for military involvement in politics despite who his grandfather was? No.

Is he littered with corruption allegations and controversy unlike the leadership of PML-N-PPP? No.

Does he have credentials and a resume which makes him suited for the PM role (like I've outlined)? Yes.
