PML-N committed to eradicating poverty, unemployment from country: Dar


PML-N leader Ishaq Dar has said his party is committed to eradicating poverty and unemployment in the country.

Talking to the media in Lahore, he said it was a real challenge for PML-N to resolve the problems of the people but expressed resolve that his party, under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, would bring ease to the public.
 

Elections for Punjab Assembly speaker, deputy speaker to be held tomorrow


The elections for the Punjab Assembly speaker and deputy speaker will be held via a secret ballot in a session of the assembly tomorrow (Saturday).
The announcement was made by the PA speaker’s secretary after the newly elected lawmakers took oath for their new role.
He said that the elections would be held under Rules 9 and 10 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997.
The secretary further said that the nomination papers have to be submitted to him before 5pm today. The scrutiny of the papers for the slot of the speaker will be done at 5:10pm while that of the deputy speaker’s slot will be done at 5:20pm.
 

‘May God give you courage to listen to others patiently’: Outgoing Punjab Assembly speaker tells MPAs


After outgoing Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan administered oath to the newly elected lawmakers, he urged those in the gallery to “not spoil the atmosphere”.

“There is disturbance because of you. Please do not do this,” he said.

“And I am saying this personally that may God also give you courage to listen to each other patiently,” Sibtain added.

The speaker congratulated all MPAs on assuming their new role and wished them success.
 

PML-N, PTI-backed candidates chant slogans in face-off outside Punjab Assembly


PTI-backed candidates elected to the Punjab Assembly have chanted slogans in favour of their party and ex-premier Imran Khan, as they gathered outside the assembly.

According to video footage, the newly elected lawmakers, who recently joined the Sunni Ittehad Council as per the PTI’s directions, chanted “Imran Khan, Imran Khan” as they reacted to chants from their political rivals in the PML-N.

The PTI-supported lawmakers could be hearing chanting: “Who will save Pakistan? Imran Khan, Imran Khan.”

PPP picks Murad Ali Shah for Sindh chief minister’s slot


Speaking to the PPP’s Sindh parliamentary committee in Lahore, party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that Naveed Anthony would be the candidate for Sindh Assembly deputy speaker.

He further said that Awais Shah would be the candidate for Sindh Assembly speaker.

Bilawal added that Murad Ali Shah would be the party’s candidate for Sindh chief minister. “We will request him to take the responsibility of this post again. But this time round we have to beat our own record,” he said.

Some things never change
 
I think the issue is that it isn’t institutions planning this out for years and years, but individuals and a “general” culture of shortcut advantages or expediency before all else. Planning that doesn’t go beyond 3-6 years, for obviously sad reasons.

A lot of what’s going on now has to be that Donald Lu; Ditch Khan and the We the US will forgive you.

No sense to balance competing interests, and safeguard long term domestic stability. Domestic stability is vital for growth.
Problem is corps commanders loyality to the man rather then to the country

Hence I really doubt Pakistan has any nuclear weapons..its probably just a rouse
 
Lol. PTI is leaving no stine unturned to derail the IMF program again. That would kill everyone including youthiyas, patwaris and jiyalas....
will it hit khaki boys?
