Pakistan General Elections 2024

Could PTI form a government with PPP? IK as president, SMQ as PM, and Bilawal as FM. A good way to for Bilawal to ride a populist wave and rebrand his image, and set himself up for PM in the next election?

Let’s hope it’s not stolen by the “system”.

Mainstream political parties apart from PML-N allege rigging

Amid reports of clashes and delays, mainstream political parties such as the PPP, Jamaat-i-Islami and PTI have urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice of rigging at polling stations across the country.

In Karachi, the PPP claimed ballot papers were snatched from the electoral staff in the PS-105 constituency. The JI also alleged that MQM-P workers tried to sabotage voting at multiple polling stations. Videos circulating on social media also showed masked men entering polling stations in the metropolis.

From Balochistan, Akhtar Mengal wrote a complaint to the ECP, saying that the station house officer of Quetta had taken “900 votes”.

Similarly, former lawmaker Mohsin Dawar alleged “large-scale rigging” was underway in North Waziristan’s NA-40 (Tappi).

In Punjab, PTI-backed candidate for Sialkot Rehana Dar said the returning officer had refused to give her Form 45.

PTI will further polarize the society. You're delusional if you think they want to change anything
.
Polarising a deeply corrupt and nepotistic society might not be a bad thing. The status quo of the mafia crooks and duffer generals exploiting the masses like it is their personal fiefdom should be destroyed.

Exactly, a vote for IK and the PTI has become a protest vote against the status quo. Considering the economy, people are signaling they want change. There are legitimate supporters but there are also just people fed up with the uncertainty.

Had they let him serve out his term, he would have been judged on his merits.

Oh well, everyone is learning lessons in democracy today.

He would have lost the election if the it was held normally and he wasn't forced out, but judging from what Pakistanis say, The army is disconnected from the Pakistani Awam and has little knowledge of the ground realities and sentiments of the Public. Especially of those outside of the main cities.

In a normal election if the 50% of the votes are counted and there is a clear trend of who the winner is, the trend usually continues till the count ends. Especially if it is this one-sided. If by tomorrow, Pakistan's Election commission claims different results. Its going to be a clear fraud.

Especially now that everyone is watching closely and the impression has been made in the public that PTI has won.

Unofficial results: Who is ahead and who is behind in key constituencies

After five hours of vote counting, an intriguing battle is unfolding in several constituencies: Yasmeen Rashid versus Nawaz Sharif in NA-130, Afzal Hafeez Pahat against Shehbaz Sharif in NA-123, and Rehana Imtiaz Dar against Khawaja Muhammad Asif in NA-71.
As per unofficial and unconfirmed results from specific polling stations until 10:30pm, the following outcomes have been reported:
  • NA-123: Shehbaz Sharif leads with 16,154 votes, while Afzal Azeem Pahat trails behind with 15,893 votes.
  • NA-248: PTI-backed independent candidate Arsalan Khalid is ahead with 1849 votes, followed by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui with 241 votes.
  • NA-67: Aniqa Mehdi, backed by PTI, holds the lead with 23,008 votes, while Saira Afzal Tarar of PML-N trails with 19,391 votes.
  • NA-119: Maryam Nawaz is currently leading with 869 votes, with Shehzad Farooq trailing behind with 438 votes
  • NA-19: Asad Qaisar is ahead with 16,167 votes, followed by JUI-F’s Maulana Fazl Ali Sharif with 8,824 votes
  • NA-71: Khawaja Asif is ahead with 8,773 votes, followed by Rehana Imtiaz Dar with 8,524 votes.

Apparently PTI backed candidates are winning. They may not be the majority but easily the second largest party. Shocking results so far

The results do change quickly in Pakistani politics after 12AM so let’s see how the night unfolds
After 12AM ballot boxes get swapped… and sharif gets another chance to loot..

Meher Bano Qureshi leads in vote count for Multan’s NA-151: unofficial results

PTI vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s daughter Meher Bano Qureshi, running as an independent candidate, is leading in the vote count for NA-151 (Multan) with 26,236 votes, according to unofficial results.

The runner-up right now is PML-N’s Abdul Ghaffar with 18,558 votes. He is 7,678 votes behind Meher Bano, PTV reports.

According to Geo News, PTV and Dawn News, at least 61 per cent of the polling stations completed their count at around 10:45pm.

PTI claims election results being delayed as Imran’s candidates emerge victorious

The PTI has claimed that election results across the country are being delayed after Imran Khan’s candidate emerged victorious.

“There are reports of closure of the screens in the offices of returning officers in several circles,” PTI’s Omary Ayub alleged in a video message on social media platform X.

He warned that attacks on the people’s mandate through a “closed-door conspiracy” or tampering would have negative consequences. Ayun urged PTI workers to stay at polling stations and only leave until they were provided with Form-45.

“The election commission should ensure the immediate release of the results instead of facilitating the scandalous process of tampering with the election results,” he added.

It's entirely possible, at least Zardari was hinting at it a month ago in the event PTI wins but doesn't get an outright majority.

I'm talking to people in Pakistan on whatsapp...

...does that count?
Bro I don't know who to say but could you make a short video or HD banner with Title I AM IMRAN KHAN, I AM PAKISTAN we might need it in few coming days

Yes PTI will polarize the country, civilians on one side and duffers and their supporters on the other..
Lol. Every single person who voted for PTI in 2018 regretted it. The vonc literally revived a dead party and everyone joined the bandwagon.

I don't see PTI bringing any tangible economic change. They'll cry and whine that they had a weak government lol.

SIFC and interik setup handled the economy better than all 3 parties combined. Rough days ahead.
