Indian air force says losses are part of combat but all pilots back home​

NEW DELHI, May 11 (Reuters) - The Indian Air Force said on Sunday that "losses are a part of combat" without giving details but added that all its pilots were back home after fighting with Pakistan this week, responding to a question on whether the force suffered losses.

A Pakistani military spokesperson told Reuters on Wednesday that five Indian aircraft had been shot down, but the claim was not confirmed by India.

Also on Wednesday, four government sources in Indian Kashmir told Reuters that three fighter jets crashed in the federal territory, hours after India said it struck nine Pakistani "terrorist infrastructure" sites across the border.

If someone is POW , most likely after cease fire they are already on their way back home or very near for transfer back

Brother it is a form of mental illness, imagine you spend 20/25 years of your life working up the ladder as a senior career officer and then when you retire after 30/35 years of service and end up in civilian life you miss people saluting you and listening to everything g you say and calling you sir.

He struggled that civilians weren't going to jump at every bark and respond "Aye Aye sir!"

They've started a new tactic as well, where they block convoys of levies or civilians, and kill them if they're Punjabis or take their weapons.

We have been fighting them for 20 years and have lost close to 80,000 people from 2000 to 2025.

I myself have lost a relative who was martyred fighting terrorists in SWAT valley.

Traditional ground incursions dont work in the wrong run because we have a large area to cover - these terrorists can melt into Afghanistan, we have fenced off all of the Afghan border, but patrolling it through manpower alone is not efficient or effective.

Its 2025, drones are going g to be the future of combat and warfare.

Clearly the biggest lesson out of Ukraine. And as I said to associates as recently as last year, the battle space is no longer what it once was.

Some of the videos I watched in last few hours--summation of them, per my understanding of them. Anyway:
A couple of Pakistani analysts think a resolution of the Kashmir conflict is more likely than ever before and there had/has been even the so-called Track II diplomacy between the two countries along the lines of the Musharraf-Manmohan '4 points' understanding; but the analysts also said that Modi will have to lose power for that to happen. Per an analyst, Modi is VERY likely to attack Pakistan sooner or later as this debacle is a terrible 'image' of him which is going to cost Modi/BJP politically. He has to get something. The analyst said for Pakistan to really watch out.
In a leftist Indian channel, something like Deshbaght, the leftists in India are already sharpening their knives to bring down Modi by taking advantage of the on-going debacle for Modi. And I believe the Indian National Congress rightly egged on Modi to be aggressive against Pakistan as failed wars bring down regimes.

I also agree that Trump does not see India in such a strategic light as the US deep state or previous admins did. Trump just wants to divide the world into US, Russia, China spheres of influence and focus on his own domain.
This can change again with a change in the US administration thought.

Some times a night is followed by another day.

Pakistan really wasted 20 years with how Afghanistan went, 20 years behind in development, 20 years behind in border infrastructure. Amercian money was flowing for 20 years and there still isn't a solid wall/barrier on the durand line, something the US would have gladly paid for as the taliban issue was a headache for them for 20 years. Just so much oversight in how things were managed.

The US opposed and stopped any fencing for years. Pretty sure you can find dozens of articles on it still. The Afghan Government opposed it as well.
