But when I look back at past incidents — 1965, 1971, 1984, and 1999 — it’s clear that there were major blunders on both sides of the military leadership. Still, some individuals rose above the chaos and did their duty with courage and conviction.
As an Indian, I feel safe until we have — like Syed Adil Hussain Shah, the policeman who tried to snatch a gun during the April attack in Pahalgam and lost his life, and Tukaram Omble, who faced the terrorists head-on during the 2008 Mumbai attacks and lost his life.
When a country is served by people like that — those who aren’t afraid to take a bullet to protect others — it gives the entire nation a sense of safety. Not just because of their weapons or uniforms, but because of their courage. Their presence says: “You’re not alone. I’ve got your back.”
I am sure similar people are found in Pakistan as well.
However, military planners of both sides made so many mistakes in the past, can't say who is better planner at the present day
