Pakistan should push to get 1000 VLS in its fleet to make it a formidable navy. USA has 10,000 VLS and China almost 5,000 VLS in their naval fleet.

Bro, US & China are super powers. Their goals are global dominance. They have massive budgets, massive coastlines.

Even indian navy has only 450 VLS. Look at their budget, coastline and everything.

Pakistan Navy's strength is going to be its submarine fleet anyways.

The Indian Navy's fleet currently boasts approximately 800 VLS cells across its operational ships. Including the VLS cells from under-construction and recently launched warships, this number increases significantly, potentially totaling over 1600 VLS cells.

Now let's recalculate the total:

Vishakhapatnam Class destroyers (4 ships):
48×4= 192
Kolkata Class destroyers (3 ships):
48× 3=144
INS Vikrant and Vikramaditya(2 ships):
32×2= 64
Brahmaputra Class frigates (3 ships):
24×3=72
Talwar Class frigates (6 ships):
8×6=48
Shivalik Class frigates (3 ships):
40×3=120
Delhi Class destroyers (3 ships):
32×3=96
Rajput Class destroyers (3 ships): 64

Can you please how many are those which are meant for Brahmos. Because for us those would be the real problem.

Current Operational Ships in the Indian Navy Equipped with BrahMos Missiles
  • Vishakhapatnam Class destroyers (4 ships): 16×4=64
  • Kolkata Class destroyers (3 ships): 16×3=48
  • Shivalik Class frigates (3 ships): 8×3=24
  • Talwar Class frigates (6 ships): 8×6=48
  • Delhi Class destroyers (3 ships): 8x3=24 [Launched from Quad canisters]
  • Rajput Class destroyers(3 ships): 8x3=24
64+48+24+48+24+24= 232

Total number of VLS cells for BrahMos missiles on the already launched and under-construction ships:
  • P17A Frigates (7 ships): 8×7=56
  • Next Generation Corvettes (8 ships): 8×8=64
  • Next Generation Missile Vessels (6 ships): 8×6=48
  • Tushil Class Frigates (4 ships): 8x4=32
Now, summing these up:

56+64+48+64=232

Combining this with the previously calculated operational BrahMos VLS cells:

232+232=464

Delhi Class destroyers have 8 BrahMos missiles per ship using quad canisters, and the rest using Indian UVLM, spread across operational ships and under-construction vessels.

No need 1.000 VLS ... You need quad pack capability to fire 4 missiles from one canister

Pakistan should buy Turkish TF-2000 class Destroyer equipped with 96 cells VLS and to carry 32 SIPER SAMs , 192 HISAR-D SAMs and 16 ATMACA anti-ship Missiles

1 TF-2000 Destroyer can carry 240 Missiles while 27 Indian Warships carry 800 Missiles

7 TF-2000 class Destroyers can carry 224 SIPER and 1.344 HISAR-D SAMs
also 147 close air defense missiles with range of 11 km
also 112 anti-ship Missiles

This number shoots up big time, potentially reaching over 1600 VLS cells

but without quadpack capability

Turkiye can offer MIDLAS VLS with quadpack capability to Pakistan to fire 4 missiles from one canister

Pakistan doesn't have the money or the appetite to add bigger warships like destroyers and cruisers. Naval warfare is for the big leagues.

YES
Only problem is money for Pakistan

but Pakistan needs new Platforms with bigger fire power to match with the Indian Navy
or Pakistan can focus on unmanned commat Vessels and unmanned kamikaze Vessels also stealth UCAVs like Turkish ANKA-3 and KIZILELMA to hit Indian Warships

I remember there were instances when IN only upgraded a single warship of the class. I am not sure if all the above 9 ships have 232 VLS. Show us clear image of the VLS of these ships. Don't show wiki numbers, just post the image. I am asking because I am unable to verify your claims with real image. I am asking for VLS images for Rajput, Brahmaputra and Delhi classes.

If there was a possibility to integrate Brahmos on Rafales it would be even better India should talk with france to equip few Brahmos with Indian avionics, radar and mission computer to be capable of launching Brahmos, Astra and other Indian, Indo-Russian, Russian or Israeli made weapons

According to DG-880, there are 232 VLS in below junkyards:

Rajput, Brahmaputra & Delhi class ships are ancient relics. These are visible to even coastal radars. These have everything that make them visible to enemy out and loud. Don't tell me India spent money to install VLS on these oldest warships of asia.

because of corrupt estab, bureaucracy and politicians. Its a shameful reality, otherwise pakistan wouldve been amongst the top economies.

Is Pakistan orthering the quad VLS system for its Jinnah class frigates ? how many VLS does it have, i heard 16. but 32 of 64 with Quad Loader per VLS will make a top of the line ship, 32x4 = 128 Missiles.
