Automobile Technologies, which has set up production of Citroen C5 Aircross crossovers at PSMA Rus plant in Kaluga, will start direct online sales of cars on May 20th, 2024. At the same time, prices for cars available for online purchase on the company's websites will be the same as at dealers. "The online sales project is a stable channel with a fixed price, there are no imposed services here, you only buy what you need. It's an additional sales channel. We undertake part of actions that would be done by a dealer: pre-sale preparation, organization of a test drive and delivery to the point that the client specifies," said Pavel Bezruchenko.
According to him, at the initial stage online purchase and delivery of the car to the buyer on a car carrier will be available to customers in Moscow and within a radius of 250 kilometers from it. In the future the geography of online sales is planned to be expanded. As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", the platform for ordering goods CDEK.Shopping has launched a new project for the purchase and delivery of cars from abroad - CDEK.Shopping Auto.
The site now offers about 200 car models from more than 20 foreign manufacturers. In addition, it is possible to buy out cars for individual requests. The cars are bought back from official sellers in China, Europe and Korea.

Russia offers equal conditions for the work of all carmakers ready for consistent localization - both Russian and foreign, including Chinese carmakers, said First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. At the same time, the key requirement is gradual localization of both car platforms and auto components, he stressed, adding that such an agreement has been reached with Chinese companies.
Denis Manturov reminded that the level of localization in the automotive industry is assessed by means of a point system and the strategy for the development of the automotive industry of Russian Federation provides for a gradual increase in the requirements for the number of points scored, writes the Finmarket agency. In turn, President Vladimir Putin, following the results of Russian-Chinese negotiations, said earlier that Russia is determined to develop cooperation with China in the automotive sector and is ready to provide economic incentives to investors from China.
As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", Russian government has approved changes to the mechanism of point assessment of localization of automotive products. Thus, the list of technological operations, for the use of which points are awarded in the production of vehicles, has been supplemented with critical technologies, the mastering of which will create conditions for achieving technological sovereignty of the domestic automotive industry.
At the same time, the list of costs that relate directly to research and development costs has been specified. It is also envisaged to stimulate the use of Russian electronic control units and the corresponding electronic component base.
"At the same time, the introduction of all types of components is also stimulated through the allocation and accrual of points for each unit applied in electronic control units," the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation noted. At the same time, it is envisaged to annually increase the minimum number of points to be set for each electronic control unit to be recognized as manufactured in Russia.
