The King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Laboratory was able to develop the first two-dimensional hybrids 2D-CMOS for the semi-conductors with complete mineral oxides.

2D-CMOS technology is the future technology in the industry of conductors
Where two -dimensional materials are used (2D Materials), such as:

MOS₂ (Moldinum Die Salvaid), Wse₂ ws, graphine and others are used Instead of the traditional silicone in the manufacture of CMOS transistors.

Its advantages:

  • The transistor minimization: only atoms thick, It is possible to access the manufacturing technology of less than 1 nm
  • High electronic speed: higher performance than silicon thanks to the fastest electrons' movement
  • Amazing energy efficiency: It works with low voltage, a lower energy consumption of up to 90 %
  • Mechanical flexibility: made on flexible surfaces, folding screens and wearable devices

Overview of SoC Tapeouts

Tapeout is the final stage in the design process of System on Chips (SoCs) before they are sent for manufacturing. This stage involves creating the photomask from the final approved electronic design files.

Key Steps in the Tapeout Process

Design Preparation

  • Electronic Design Automation (EDA): Various software tools are used to assist in the design and verification of the SoC.
  • Signoff: The design must pass through a series of verification steps known as signoff before it can proceed to tapeout.

Tapeout Execution

  • Photomask Creation: The final design is converted into a photomask, which is essential for the manufacturing process.
  • Foundry Modifications: The semiconductor foundry may perform additional checks and modifications to ensure manufacturability.

Post-Tapeout Considerations

First Article Testing

  • After tapeout, the first physical samples of the chip are produced. These samples are tested for functionality.
  • If issues arise, the design may undergo several iterations, known as "spins," to correct any errors detected during testing.

Importance of Tapeout

  • Tapeout is a significant milestone in SoC development, often celebrated by the design team.
  • It marks the transition from design to production, but it is not the end of the design process, as further refinements may be necessary based on testing results.

According to Dennis Hikki's statement, the chief development official in The Line, the construction work will start at the end of this year 2025 in the Line City of the Future and the largest building site in the world

The first stage will be completed in the year 2030

This acquisition enhances NEO Space Group's global space observation capabilities and accelerates the growth of the UP42 platform to serve various customers and partners around the world.

This acquisition directly contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by strengthening the national space infrastructure
Localizing advanced technical capabilities and supporting the growth of the Kingdom's thriving space economy.

New Space Group (NSG) was established in May 2024, to be a leading Saudi company in the space, satellite services and remote sensing sector, and it also has a bold venture capital fund to invest in the field of satellites and space.

Now KSA have access to 77 satellites with various missions, types of imaging, and resolution, for customers who are willing to pay for these services.

A photovoltaic design to go to production, is great and shows Saudi ongoing advancements in semi conductors. However, who will build these chips? That's where the real money is. Literally dozens to hundreds of billions of dollars. Will Saudia give it to ASLM or TSMC?

With Saudia's vast financial resources, they should've put in semi conductor manufacturing plants in house and become a semi conductor manufacturing nation with super high growth in this sector projected for next 100 years. It can transform the Saudi economy into a hi-tech focused industry that MBS wants it to be.

The machines are not really for sale or very restricted sale..maybe in the future..there were requests from the Netherlands for their advanced Machines.. but we've heard nothing yet about that.. China also came up with its new technology machines, There is also Samsung.. so let's wait a bit and see!

The ambition is there..step by step..

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's visit to Saudi Arabia this time has an exceptional character, as it is not just a protocol visit or a regular meeting between two leaderships. The news and indicators raised suggest that this meeting may go beyond traditional cooperation files to reach the depth of the current security situation in the region.

A move that has raised increasing concern and questions among Zionists and Jews, who are anticipating the messages that Riyadh and Islamabad may carry that have dimensions that go beyond the limits of diplomacy
