Brother, we have no economy. Our entire national budget is projected to be $10B this year, last year it was less than $4B. And this is to cover the cost for an entire nation in ruins that needs to rebuild it's entire infrastructure while somehow finding a way to take care of $26M people and growing fast due to an influx of millions of refugees coming back home.

We have no real military budget, maybe a couple hundred million at best. And no we have no capital or freedom to buy any real heavy weaponry right now or advanced equipment and systems, due to sanctions and international scrutiny and Zionist opposition of any attempt for us to do so at the moment. We are purely a light and medium armed ground force at the moment, unfortunately.

This is why we need to rebuild our economy and reestablish our statehood, recognition and legitimacy on the international scene, so we can do some real diplomacy and work out state level partnerships and arrangements as an officially recognized sovereign entity to build up strength and military capability, while somehow doing our best to keep Israel at bay in the meantime.

It's an extremely challenging situation to be in, it remains to be seen if the transitional government can pull it off in the next few years and be successful at it. If you happen to have some spare AD, jets and a few nukes lying around, please brother, send them our way, we could use the help.

tbh that will never go away
you guys will have to work around it .

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa responds to a question from Anadolu at Chatham House in London about whether Syria could be directly targeted following Israeli strikes on Iran:—
‘Could Syria be targeted? It’s possible, but we are trying not to initiate hostility with anyone, and we are trying to keep Syria away from any battlefield
‘We are trying to choose the safest situation for our people and to measure things carefully so that we do not reach a point where we are targeted and forced to respond’

Finally happy that Syria got some breathing room to consolidate and focus on repair with the IDF being distracted

Syria Eyes $1 Billion Revival for Postal and Mobile Networks

Syria is seeking foreign investors for a $1 billion drive to revamp its mobile-phone coverage and postal service, as the war-torn country rebuilds after the US lifted sanctions. Some $500 million is being sought for a revival of Syrian Post, with Poste Italiane and a consortium of France’s La Poste and CMA CGM SA expressing interest, according to officials from Syria’s Communications Ministry. The state postal services of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan are also separately considering the investment, the officials said. They asked not to be identified as the discussions are private. The Middle Eastern nation, where dictator Bashar Al-Assad was ousted in December 2024 after more than a decade of civil war, is also seeking foreign capital for a $500 million plan to build new mobile-network infrastructure and improve coverage in commercial areas with high footfall, the people said.
The director general of Jordan Post, Hanadi Al-Tayeb, said they’d been approached by Syria’s postal service, are studying the issue and will visit Syria soon. Discussions are in very early stages and there’s no decision yet on whether they will apply for the tender, she saidThe postal services of Italy, France, the UAE didn’t respond to requests for comment. CMA CGM declined to comment, while Saudi officials weren’t available to comment. The Syrian initiatives speak to the new government’s ambitions to rebuild an economy shattered by the conflict that claimed more than 300,000 lives, split the country into competing fiefdoms and brought in foreign powers.
Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa — a former jihadist who once had a $10 million US bounty on his head — has presented his administration as a fresh start and looked to build international ties. The US, European and Gulf countries have been receptive. Saudi Arabia, in particular, has made generous investment pledges.Investment in mobile-phone infrastructure would see so-called Distributed Antenna Systems installed in select venues, including airports, ports, shopping malls and sports stadiums, according to the officials. Investors would sign a revenue-sharing agreement with Syria’s licensed mobile operators, according to a proposal document seen by Bloomberg. The country of 26 million people currently has two mobile operators, Syriatel and MTN Syria, part of Africa’s largest wireless carrier MTN Group Ltd. The latter is set to exit the country after reaching a settlement in a dispute with authorities. Separately, Syria has opened a more than $1 billion tender for a telecommunications license held by the company, which isn’t connected to the broader postal and mobile-coverage initiative.

As for Syrian Post, authorities plan a transformation “from a legacy mail operator into a modern national platform for universal postal access across all governorates, parcel and e-commerce logistics,” according to a document sent to potential investors seen by Bloomberg. The US-Israeli war raging across the Middle East stands to complicate these plans. Officials said the projects are in the early stages of tendering, and Syria has been assured by neighboring countries that they don’t intend to withdraw from existing commitments.
Syria’s minister of communications and information technology, Abdulsalam Haykal, held meetings with US officials and tech companies earlier this month in the US capital and California.US export controls currently limit American technology firms’ investments in Syria. During the meetings, Syrian officials discussed potential engagement with American firms on projects such as SilkLink — a Saudi-funded 4,500 kilometer(2,800 mile) fiber-optic network — if the restrictions are lifted, the people said.

The Syrian Petroleum Company signed on Sunday an implementation contract with the Saudi based ADES Holding Company to develop a number of gas fields in Syria, as part of its strategy to increase gas output and enhance field development.

In a statement, the company said the agreement includes executing maintenance and development works on existing wells, in addition to drilling new exploratory wells within the agreed operational areas, while adopting modern technologies aimed at improving production efficiency and localizing technical expertise.

The company noted that a gradual growth in gas production is expected, reaching around 25 percent within the first six months, and rising further to up to 50 percent by the end of the year, supporting supply stability and reinforcing the sector’s contribution to the national economy.

KSA has become the biggest investor and supporter of Syria contrary to what many uninformed people claim or write. One just needs to look at all the main and most important sectors in Syria. KSA firms (public and private) have won almost all of the key projects. Oil, gas, internet cables, engineering projects and even renewable energy.

There are literally 100's of such examples out there in every sector.

Let alone the ethnic, linguistic, historical, religious, tribal/clan bonds that bind KSA and Syria and which are unbreakable.

KSA and Syria were always natural allies. In particular people to people ties.

The same thing would occur between KSA and an independent Palestine. Just a question of time.

Saudi Arabians and Levantine Arabs are also extremely closely related going way back prior to the appearance of Arabs or any other recorded ethnic group. Due to shared Natufian ancestry - world's oldest culture and first Neolithic culture in the world.

That is besides all the shared Semitic and non-Semitic ancestry.

Same people basically.
