Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Last US base in Syria is currently being evacuated and will soon be handed over to the Syrian Army. Alhamdullilah we will be free of their occupation soon.

While this is great news, it might also be a bad omen that Israel is planning to launch a full scale attack on us and the US is getting ahead of it by exiting the country completely to absolve itself from any responsibility or blame. We'll see what this means for us.

Welcomed news nonetheless.

If this news is genuine and the US is permanently leaving Syria - this could be the final nail in the coffin of the Kurdish terrorist project in Northeastern Syria.

Main outside problem remaining would be the Zionists which is another ballgame altogether - unfortunately. Not sure, even despite US and Western support 24/7, that Israel is capable of any large incursions into Syria. Given how many fronts they are "occupied" with and how much they have struggled. Syria is not tiny landlocked open air prison (Gaza) or defenseless West Bank or even tiny South Lebanon. It has a far larger population, far larger land, geographical depth and strong and powerful allies in the region.

Do we know how much land, aside from the Golan Heights, that the Zionists are currently occupying illegally in Syria as we speak?

Yes, the biggest immediate advantage is it will help us fully neutralize the separatist Kurdish militia that's been actively working to divide our country and fighting us with the help of Israel and the US. Luckily there won't be anymore Americans in that area to protect them anymore.

The area that Israeli has invaded so far has luckily been minimal, apart from the Golan that they have occupied for 60 years now they haven't been willing to venture that far from the previous frozen borders, but the more critical aspect is their northern extension that is currently occupying Mount Hermon. That area is extremely strategic as it gives them an elevated advantage not too far away from the capital. It's the highest peak in the area and also overlooks Lebanon.

The biggest worry imo is not necessarily a conventional invasion and mass occupation of our southern region, but a constant bombing campaign like they are doing to Lebanon and Iran that will perpetually leave us in ruin and unable to develop and grow, they don't need a massive invasion force to enact that, and we have no answer for it either. They don't even need any of the areas they currently occupy or the Golan heights for that matter to constantly keep us in a state of destruction. That's my bigger worry tbh, we need help with AD or some air cover for the next while to give us a chance to build up our own strength and defences against that threat.

The way around it of course building alliances. Instead of duking it out... involve regional players and stakeholders. Get Egypt, Turkiye and Pakistan involved... train at top academies of Turkiye and Pakistan so that the new officer corps has an understanding and relationship with their counterparts.
Have China and Russia invest.

Don't rely on any single entity. Don't get ahead of yourself. Don't buy shiny toys or big ticket items, the replacement of which is impossible and costs and arm and a leg to operate... cannot find spares and do much on your own...
Sanction proof the economy... divest away from sanctionsphere... the strings are invisible but bite is real. Build corridors and connect with regional economies.

Of course ... be wary of anyone with a soft spot for zion... the Trojans are everywhere looking for a weakness... chink in ther armor.

Build on existing... the Aleppo Soap, foods and finished products... raise quality, quantity and competition.

Enough of the sermon... it isn't as if no one knows it already... but there are no shortcuts cuts... one must put one foot in front of the other.

Syria should not neglect building its defences the same way Lebanon did.

Israel likes to occupy land, and will be eyeing up more Syrian land. The key thing is for Syria to be able to stop a land invasion and Ukraine showed how small groups armed with Javelins, and NLAWs totally blunted many of Russia's armoured thrusts early on in the war. The cost of these systems is small, training is not that difficult and they can have an outsized role in defence. This combined with good "quality" MANPADs can offer a good defensive sheild.

This of course, combined with FPV drones, can offer a good defensive shield at low cost until Syria can rebuild her infrastructure again.

This is the approach that Lebanon should have taken, but they decided to do nothing at all but having a defensive strategy of simply "complaining every time they get invaded "...

You don't need to have a military that is designed to "win" against Israel on a peer to peer basis as that will be impossible for Syria. Syria needs just enough to deny Israel what they want, which is land.

This story should be getting more attention.

This is the first time since 12 years there is no US military presence in Syria.

This is sign of another civil war , Syria under control of different factions.

As opposed to how much "Syrian" land Israel is legally occupying?

How?

The US leaving Syria is a sign of stability.

It shows that the Central govt has consolidated most of the country to the point where the US justification for staying isn't valid. For the most part all of Syria is under Damascus Control.

With the US exit from Hasakah governate, essentially there is no impediment for operations in the north in the Yellow part if needed.

That means all the resources can now be dedicated to the south to deal with the Purple part and the Blue part.

This is Israeli backed resolution in US senate.

whats with the "syrian"
Two words: Shebaa Farms. The U.N. disputes with Syria and Lebanon as to what territory Israel occupies is "Syrian" vs. "Lebanese". It's a very confusing situation, at least to me.
