Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Graham is a retard and has been against Syria for years now, he's a war monger and has been introducing legislations and speaking out against our government since they took over. He's been railing against our offensive against the separatist Kurdish militia terrorists since last December and has introduced several legislations to stop it, and has been vociferously against the US closing it's bases in the Syria and removing sanctions against us. He is our enemy, as is plenty of the US establishment.

Luckily for us so far, they have been ignored by the current administration and we were able to do what needed to be done regardless of their hackling. You need to learn to be able to separate the noise from what's actually happening.

@Haz wouldnt it be better to shift the capital from damascus to town up north closer to turkey for now ( maybe aleppo)
No not really. Damascus has always been the capital and it's our most important city historically, however it would be good to have redundancy backup administrative offices in Aleppo which I believe we do, since Aleppo and Idlib are where the revolutionaries held power the longest. But we can't move the capital up there due to historic reasons, you lose Damascus and you lose the country, you can't hold a united Syria without it.

Damascus Foils Smuggling of 6,000 Detonators to Lebanon

Syrian authorities said they had thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of military-grade detonators from the Nabk area in the Qalamoun region of rural Damascus into Lebanon.

They also uncovered a cross-border tunnel and seized weapons depots prepared for smuggling, state media reported on Wednesday.

The Internal Security Directorate in Nabk said it dismantled a plan to move a large quantity of explosive detonators used in making improvised explosive devices, adding the shipment was bound for Lebanon.

In a statement, it said the operation was carried out with “high professionalism” after precise technical and field surveillance, preventing the materials from reaching their destination.

Authorities said about 6,000 detonators were seized, without identifying the smugglers or the intended recipients in Lebanon.

The announcement came as internal security forces in Homs reported discovering a tunnel linking Syrian and Lebanese territory in the border town of Housh al-Sayyed Ali, in the Qusayr area of southern Homs province.

Weapons and ammunition depots prepared for smuggling were also seized, according to the Syrian Al-Ikhbariya channel, which gave no details on who dug the tunnel.

Earlier this month, Syria’s defense ministry said it had uncovered a network of tunnels in the Qusayr area used to smuggle drugs and weapons, adding that Hezbollah had used them.

Qusayr has been one of Hezbollah’s main areas of influence in Syria since 2013, until the fall of its ally Bashar al-Assad. The area served as a key supply route from Albu Kamal on the Iraqi border in Deir al-Zor, through Palmyra and Homs, to the Lebanese border.

Media reports say tunnels are widespread along the Qusayr border, alongside informal crossings used by residents to move between the two countries. For many, smuggling has become a source of income amid worsening economic conditions, poverty, and security instability, complicating efforts to secure the border.

The developments come amid fears Syria could be drawn into a wider conflict through Lebanon and efforts to disarm Hezbollah, with backing from the United States and Israel.

On April 11, Syria’s interior ministry said its counterterrorism department, working with internal security in rural Damascus, arrested five people in a cell linked to Hezbollah after tracking suspicious activity in the capital.

Authorities said a woman in the cell was caught attempting to carry out an attack by planting an explosive device near the home of a religious figure in Bab Touma, close to the Mariamite Cathedral. Media reports identified the target as Rabbi Michael Houri.

Earlier this month, the defense ministry allowed a photographer from Agence France-Presse to document the army’s deployment along the border for the first time since reinforcements were sent about a month earlier, including several cross-border tunnels that had recently been uncovered.

Mohammad Hammoud, a Syrian-Lebanese border official, told AFP the army had discovered “a network of tunnels linking the two countries” used to smuggle weapons and drugs. A Syrian army field commander also said Hezbollah had used the tunnels.

Hezbollah fought alongside Assad’s forces in the conflict that began in 2011 as a peaceful uprising before escalating into war.

An AFP photographer saw at least five tunnels crossing the border, including one that started in a house basement and led via concrete steps into narrow, dark passageways used for transit.

On March 28, Syrian authorities said they found a tunnel near a village west of Homs linking Syria to Lebanon, adding that “Lebanese militias” had used it for smuggling before it was closed.

In February, the interior ministry said it dismantled a cell behind attacks in the Mezzeh district of Damascus, adding the weapons used had come from Hezbollah, which denied involvement.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa hosted two key Kurdish leaders on Thursday to discuss further integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces into the Syrian security forces.

According to Syrian state media SANA, “President Ahmad al-Sharaa received Mazloum Abdi and Ilham Ahmad on Thursday, in the presence of Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani and Presidential Envoy Ziad al-Ayesh, who is tasked with implementing the January 29 agreement with the (SDF).”

Mazloum Abdi is the head of the SDF. The SDF is a US-backed force in Syria that was key to defeating ISIS. It was founded in 2015 with the backing of the US.

The US had been helping to fight ISIS in Syria since the terrorist group burst onto the scene in 2014. ISIS had not only captured a swath of Syria but also invaded Iraq in June 2014 and took over the city of Mosul. ISIS carried out massacres and a genocide in Iraq. It targeted Shi’ites, Christians, and the Yazidi minority. It kidnapped thousands of Yazidis, primarily women.

In Syria, ISIS attacked the Kurds in eastern Syria and laid siege to the Kurdish city of Kobani in northern Syria on the border of Turkey.

The US intervened to help prevent the fall of Kobani. In the wake of that success, the US partnered with the SDF. The SDF grew out of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG). Abdi became the key leader of the SDF and a partner of the US. Over time, ISIS was defeated in Syria, and it became unclear what the SDF would do next.

In eastern Syria, the civilian rule of the area was handed to an organization called the AANES.

When the Assad regime fell, things began to change. US Central Command, which was backing the SDF via Operation Inherent Resolve, facilitated a meeting between Abdi and Sharaa in March 2025.

At this meeting, a roadmap to integrating the SDF into the new Syrian forces was presented. At the time, the Syrian Transitional Government didn’t have very many well-trained forces. Most of the trained ones had come out of Sharaa's Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, a mostly Arab group that also had extremist roots.

Concerns over ethnic, religious differences between SDF, Sharaa

There were concerns about how the SDF, whose roots were more Kurdish, leftist, and secular, would integrate with a primarily Arab, conservative Islamic group.

The challenge has continued for a year. In January, there were clashes between Kurds and the Syrian government. However, a new deal in late January paved the way for Syria to deploy Interior Ministry forces to areas the SDF had held in eastern Syria.

Now the sides are trying to integrate forces. One SDF commander, Sipan Hemo, has become a key defense ministry official in Syria. However, the question is how to integrate the equivalent of three SDF divisions, some 60,000 people, into the new government forces. In addition, the SDF has women units, and it's unclear how they will be integrated.

SANA says the new meeting in Damascus on April 16 “focused on completing integration into state institutions.” Ilham Ahmad is a key figure who played a role in the AANES and now serves as the SDF Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department.

ANHA, a Kurdish media outlet, says “SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi and Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department Ilham Ahmed met with the head of the Syrian interim government, Ahmad al-Sharaa, in Damascus. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani and presidential envoy Ziad al-Ayesh and focused on advancing integration within state institutions.”

It added that “media outlets affiliated with the interim government reported on the outcomes of the meeting. They said discussions focused on strengthening coordination and following up on steps to integrate administrative and military structures into state institutions.”

SANA noted that “on January 29, the Syrian government announced an agreement with the (SDF) on a ceasefire as part of a comprehensive deal. The agreement includes phased integration of military and administrative structures into state institutions, the deployment of security forces to the centers of Hasakah and Qamishli, and the transfer of all civil and government institutions, as well as border crossings and entry points, to state control.”

This POS Assad terrorist Amjad Yusuf has finally been captured!!

He was directly involved in carrying out repeated civilian massacres and rapes, which he orchestrated and participated in personally for many years. The Assadist pig regime was so impressed with his crimes against humanity, they promoted him and eventually made him an important intelligence officer.

Some of his extensive crimes against humanity have been documented on tape, such as the Tadamun massacre (video below), where almost 300 civilians men, women and children were slaughtered and executed in one shot. Truly a despicable person and deserves the worst fate possible.

This is what the Assad regime was filled with entirely, mass murderers that have terrorized us for decades without hesitation or a second thought, because they are not Muslim and hated us. Thats who the Iranians and their supporters have the audacity to defend and advocate for, while having the balls to claim they are protecting and fighting for Muslims. IstaghfurAllah.

A more detailed article about the Tadamun massacre and some of the other numerous crimes carried out by the recently captured Assadist terrorist Amjad Yusuf:

“ In another video, the camera pans over a group of dead children, including infants who had been stabbed or shot, lying in a dark room“

“Three of our videos show severe torture of civilian victims in private houses: beatings, lashings, burnings, electrocution and psychological torture. The perpetrators, including Youssef and Najib, inflicted cruel and experimental torture for their own amusement at the victims’ suffering.”

“An elderly man is beheaded by Amjad in one video.”

“Seven female victims are killed with a ferocity and hatred the otherwise passionless killers do not express to the men. Out of frame, one of the sobbing women is barked at: “Get up, you whore!” (!طلعي شرموطة). Her pleas fall on deaf ears, as she is dragged up by her hair and dumped into the hole. Two women shriek uncontrollably when Youssef kicks them into the grave and executes them; the others face their fate in silence.”

“bragged about his meticulous skills in killing people and destroying evidence, claiming that his group had killed at least 30,000 civilians from 2012 to 2015. This might be an overstatement of proud perpetrators, but it is an illustration of the extent and scale of the mass killing in Tadamon. As one resident described: “We were smelling the coppery scent of human flesh burning every day.”

Turns out that POS Assad terrorist Amjad Yusuf was hiding out in plain site in his home village and no one there said a fucking word or reported him, despite being one of the most sought after and publicly known criminal this entire time.

He was caught in his own parents home, both his mother and father's reaction was also captured on camera at the moment of his arrest. All these people around him are complicit in hiding and abetting one of the worst known terrorists alive, they all need to be held accountable.

New Syrian Mig-29s.

I think they either received new Mig-29s from Russia or these ones managed to be saved.

But little by Little Syria is rebuilding.
