Team USA

Man, I went to get the boat ready, I see a hole in the shrink wrap about 4" in diameter. I knew I was in trouble.

So I used to have this argument every year with a few neighbors about whether the outdoor AC unit should be covered or not for the winter. I once saw on "This Old House" how they don't recommend that at all because you only create a "critter house" and the critters due to hunger/freezing temp desperation will start chewing on ANYTHING especially wires and stuff. So they totally advise against it as repairmen will likely junk everything to be safe.

Looks like you saw firsthand on your boat what could have been a potential disaster.
But get this, after cleaning the entire thing (took me 3 days, bro!), I've developed some NASTY rashes!

lol, you're something else. That's probably exactly what it is, either 1 or 2.

I did figure out that most likely a small branch fell from one of our trees in the backyard and sailed through the shrink-wrap because I can tell from residual and impacted area near the hole because typically they never get through the wrap. Besides, I usually have a doorway put into mine so I can periodically check it during the winter and if there is anyway they can get in, it's through that BUT, I didn't do that this year. And this is the first time since what, 10-11 years an animal has gotten in?

Defiunitely a good hard lesson! But these friggin rashes! oof.

That's how it works...let your guard down for 2 seconds after being ultra-paranoid for a decade and of course stuff happens.
So true. First thought was racoons, then I thought maybe opossums? But they can't climb a good 5ft just to get onto the swim platform, so I counted them out. Then I thought of the possibility of bunnies? But figured they prefer under sheds and stuff like that. I honestly felt bad for the squirrels, even after suffering these horrible rashes that undoubtedly are going to leave some nasty scars. You know we don't have much to work with here in the first place why add more insult to injury? lol

Trying to upload pictures of the fully bloomed flowers on our rhododendron to show you but I can't seem to unlock this gaddang new phone to allow importing the pics. I'll figure it out eventually but the little things that $%#*&.

I honestly felt bad for the squirrels,

My wife and kids are squirrel lovers and daily fed them during the winter. They'd almost be knocking on the back door every morning.

Funny I'm just noting the grass and not even looking back at the flowers (that's the wifey's domain). So peering out the windows now...our rhododendrons flowers are looking a little wilted. Also no flowers on the blue/purple Hydrangeas yet..but wow they seem unusually large this year. White peonies look mediocre. I have a feeling somebody hasn't watered the flowers at all this year....

@Hamartia Antidote

Check out this jackboot jerkoff jackbrow host of some insignificant podcast or show or something (CNN said he's an ESPN host) but I've never heard of him granted I stopped watching ESPN a few years ago once the vaunted lineup of classic hosts were pushed out for a younger, relatable generation so I'm not sure if he is with ESPN. But listen to this dickhead - he apologized for calling Caitlin Clark a "white bitch". Imagine this jackboot jabaloo sucking up to the racial component of the black community to either fit in or inflame an already volatile situation.

And check out the perfectly manipulated addition of the Caitlin GIF he added to his "apologetic" X-post lol. Is that even an apology? What a pos.

Meh - put it in a proper new immigrant(legal or illegall) hellhole like Houston or heck even in Atlanta.

Crazy how instantaneous the switch happens in the Ferrari.

As @GoMig-21 can attest Cambridge has its own unique definition of "hellhole". Just think of supposedly "smart" (but more like "self-centered super entitled") people continuously acting incredibly stupid...like San Franciscans. This is why I also chose Cambridge to test FSD...especially around Harvard Square.

Just the other day as I was driving through it this guy who looked like a Harvard professor suddenly waltzed out between my car and the guy in front of me causing me to hard slam on the brakes. Then he basically gave me the Dustin Hoffman "I'm walking here" spiel.

I rolled down the window like the cabbie and gave him a swearfest...even with my kids in the backseat...f-that he deserved it. More like he deserved a beatdown for acting that way.

Cant be as bad as Atlanta - Ive probably driven 38 states now and NY and others take a lot of heat.. ATL rush hour is just unpredictable wackos.

lol way too recognizable. I've driven that same exact route crossing the bridge and banging a left on Memorial Drive then cutting down what's that street again, Prospect? going straight then left & right into Central Square onto Mass Ave and then the side streets into Harvard St. oooff this is 30+ years of driving those damn roads. Definitely fun to watch and recognize the familiarity.

That self-driving handles incredibly well, ey? I did think that was a bit of a close call with that car pulling out of the parking spot. Self-drive kept going just like a gaddam Bostonian lmao.

As I have said before it seems FSD aces dense urban narrow road tight-turns environments with pedestrians and bicyclists..like it has been 99% trained by NYC taxi drivers. My experience was very similar to the guy in the video. It had no problem in dangerous rotaries like in Fresh Pond.

However given wide open multi-laned roads in the midwest...it starts choking on the absolute simplest tasks. Out there people are calling it a complete failure and find it hard to believe it can even make a simple turn in an old city nevermind crazy rotaries. Basically calling it out as likely faked BS.

Sounds like the software algorithm is picking up certain road dynamics better than others?

If it's come this far and the sky's the limit, I'm sure it's only a matter of time & updates before that's taken care of.
