All the people saying KAAN isn't 5th Gen b/c of GE F110s, should understand that the F-35 has a lower top speed than the KAAN, as well as a lower Thrust to Weight Ratio if I'm not mistaken. It also doesn't have supercruise like the F-22.

The J-20 also uses WS-10s and AL-31s and is considered a 5th gen fighter. despite the fact that those engines are from the same generation as the F110 engine.

So people need to have a consistent criteria on what elements they are using to define the criterion.

yes, they can live in ther bitternes untill they die .What a day, i was working and in midday i was reading news Kaan maiden flight. I was shocked and happy, after this the proces will go really fast.

Ther left 1 thing and the engine, Aksit did anounced they are almost going to ignite for the first time TF6000/TF1000. So lets wait for another good news.

USA is at least 40 years ahead of the rest of the world

But there can always be something wrong. After all, Türkiye is developing a Fighter Jet for the first time

Turkiye does not have 60-70 years of Fighter Jet experience like the USA, Russia and Europe

Despite this, the Turkish defense industry has done a great job in a very short time with KIZILELMA , ANKA-3 , HURJET and KAAN ( 2013-2023 .... just 10 years )

Yes - so hence when you talk to USA failures and crashes it is IRRELEVANT because they did it during times of much less information while pushing boundaries that did not exist. Boundaries which everyone is still hoping to just even get close to.

So while Turkey has made a great achievement - the knowledge to do it safely is MUCH more readily available and accessible to Turkish engineers that has allowed them to achieve.

I do not know if this information has been posted---.

KAAN aircraft engine being built by Turkiye is almost ready---.

Calm down and check the facts … the smaller sibling is being built - and allegedly close to being tested for the first time - but definitely not the Kaan‘s engine. This monster engine is even by Turkish sources still some years away.

BY the way, @hyperman … can you please merge this with the other MMU/TFX Kaan thread? There is no need for now a third one.
