Material is important for RCS reduction. Metal has a lot of RCS.

J10C has a carbon composites which reduce weight significantly but not much RCS whereas J35 uses RAM (RADAR ABSORBING MATERIALS) as well as plan-form alignments (stealth shaping)

The shaping doesn't really work. Only material work well. You need plastic to cut down on RCS.

Very high speeds can generate a plasma at least around the leading edges and points of an aircraft.
