A recent satellite image (June 2023) suggested that at least one PAF ZDK-03 (14-004?) was overhauled and possibly upgraded to the ZDK-03A standard at SAC.

The AWACS are being retired. For what planes will be used that is still not known.Seems there are three possibilities ....
- Upgraded to 500/700 standards
- Converted to Transport Airlifter
- Converted to MPA configuration like Y9JB (GX8) or Y8FQ (GX6)
I thought they were retiring these aircraft along with CN/CASA 235-220
The chinese have developed an improved variant for their own use but PAF is done with them. The platform itself and pilot experience was apparently pretty bad.

This doesn’t necessarily mean its all bad - but just like some users of the NH-90 are retiring it because of poor experience for them, the same goes for PAF
For one pilots hated it - glass cockpit and all it was not an easy one when it came to switchology and procedures.What were the issues with the platform, if you could tell
