Non of them will get through Pakistan, it’s like
Copy right thing no one will be able to sell anything US made to Pakistan even if they are willing to do that, even the F16 handed over to Ukrainian by western countries been given permission by USA

A recent satellite image (June 2023) suggested that at least one PAF ZDK-03 (14-004?) was overhauled and possibly upgraded to the ZDK-03A standard at SAC.

Seems there are three possibilities ....

1. Upgraded to 500/700 standards
2. Converted to Transport Airlifter
3. Converted to MPA configuration like Y9JB (GX8) or Y8FQ (GX6)

The AWACS are being retired. For what planes will be used that is still not known.

Seems CN/CASA 235-220 would go the same ZDK03 route, most logical conversation is to convert them to MPAs (like Turkish one).

The chinese have developed an improved variant for their own use but PAF is done with them. The platform itself and pilot experience was apparently pretty bad.

This doesn’t necessarily mean its all bad - but just like some users of the NH-90 are retiring it because of poor experience for them, the same goes for PAF

For one pilots hated it - glass cockpit and all it was not an easy one when it came to switchology and procedures.

If cost was reason to downgrade then none of the above will be done

Unless we acquire more and form a dedicated overhaul service

On July 2, 2024, the last ordered Saab 2000 Erieye aircraft was delivered to Minhas Air Base, the home base for Pakistan's fleet of these aircraft.

The Swedish company Saab has handed over the last of the ordered Saab 2000 Erieye airborne early warning and control aircraft to Pakistan.

This is reported by the Turkish SavunmaSanayiST.com.

The last of the ordered Saab 2000 Erieye aircraft was delivered to Pakistan on July 2, 2024, at Minhas Air Base, which is the home base for the fleet of these aircraft.



With this transfer, the Pakistan Air Force now has nine aircraft of this type, which are actively involved in patrolling the border with India.
