Aleppo's solar panels.

God Bless China. lol

It seems they are going for the Pakistan strategy. The Panels are so cheap now, and the govt doesn't have the resources to rebuilt the infrastructure immediately, so people take matters into their own hands.

This was simply unimaginable two years back.

Nothing lasts forever, and nothing is set in stone. The US is known for never completely withdrawing once their troops have entered a nation, yet here we find ourselves.

Crazy!

Crazy!

The only leverage the PKK has now is that they control the Al Roj camp with the ISIS prisoners. Once the Govt can secure that facility and transfer the prisoners somewhere more secure like Idlib. Then the PKK will lose ALL leverage.

hmm.. the reporting said Jordan, they want to avoid Iraq because of the Hashd stuff, but who knows.
KRG has direct borders with Syria via the Semalka crossing at the very NE tip of the country, not far from where this base is, so they wouldn't be crossing in any territory Hashd militias can operate in. Previous closed bases also had their equipment and troops transferred to the KRG so it would make more sense for this one too.

Yes previously, but this time they went to jordan across the river and to jordan from Al Tanf. According to the reporting. But either way, they are gone, and thats all that matters.

Since most of the YPG fighters have withdrawn to their barracks, the situation on the ground has taken on a different status. Tribal forces entered the village of Dbanah from the direction of the Zuri junction this afternoon. It is located at the foot of Kamishli Airport and the 154th Brigade.

The parties can reach an agreement at the table, whether good or bad. I see the possibility of conflict as remote, but when the field is Syria, one never knows what might happen.

As part of the agreement, the Syrian government will take control of the prisons in Hasakah Province tomorrow.
