"Today, the fact that all planned scenarios were carried out smoothly and successfully, and that most targets were neutralized with very little ammunition, many in the first burst of just three to four rounds, is a major achievement and has given us great confidence," he said.

"We have completed the groundwork for mass production. We are ready to begin large-scale production for both the ammunition and weapon components," he added.

2023: ~ 600M €
2024: ~ 1B €

It is good to see that the government is prioritizing air defence capacities in general.

Plus, 14 Korkut Systems (42 firing units) already delivered and 120 Oerlikon MKE GDF-003B units of which many are modernized or being currently in the process of.

In a couple of years, the Turkish AD network is going to become very impressive and "closed-meshed" for a country of the size of Türkiye.

We are closing another gap here and gaining critical capabilities - without foreign assistance or interference, I might add.

Crazy amount of investment in AD systems!

ASELSAN Expresses Interest in Space-Based Missile Defence

🇹🇷 In 2026, more than 100 ÇELİK KUBBE components will enter the TSK's inventory.

In an interview, Aselsan General Manager Ahmet Akyol said the following on the matter:

"We delivered 47 more products for ÇELİK KUBBE in August. We anticipate delivering more than 100 systems next year as well. In the years following that, on one hand, we're working to bring even greater added value to our country with more products, and on the other hand, to develop international collaborations with friendly and allied countries."

I believe that AD systems are going to be another strong suit of the Turkish MIC in the next couple of years.

Roketsan CEO:

➡️Work is ongoing to bring Siper Block-2 into operational

➡️Siper Blocks 3, Block 4, and Block 5 will add significantly more advanced capabilities to the system

➡️The Steel Dome will not only counter ballistic missiles; with its multi-layered structure, it will acquire an architecture capable of neutralizing larger threats (exoatmospheric engagement ?)

➡️Work has already begun on countering hypersonic threats

I think back to only a few years ago when there was only old Hawk batteries, and Turkey had to buy old Soviet Air Defense systems from Ukraine to deploy to Libya, and now there is a full layered umbrella. 10 years from now it will be one of the best Air Defense eco systems in the world, with complete layered coverage, and the capacity to produce it all domestically in whatever amount needed, and freely able to export.

One more Siper battery
one Alp 100-G radar
several Hisar-A systems
many more modernized 35mm guns

...will be delivered next week.

There's no time to waste.

We are on track to possess one of the finest AD systems/networks in Europe and the Middle East, if not globally, provided we maintain our research and development as well as manufacturing efforts.

They are not only fulfilling expectations but at this point are genuinely surpassing them.

I am happy!

Many AD systems are in mass production phase.

Turkey has taken a step towards detecting, identifying, and classifying low-visibility (stealth) targets from much farther away.

Aselsan General Manager Ahmet Akyol, in his 2025 year-end evaluation statement shared on his X account, said the following on the matter:

"We have started developing the ALP 400 UHF Radar, which will enhance our country's early warning capability in detecting low-visibility targets."

This is one more reason I think Turkey should get the F-35, to test the full extent of its Stealth capacity and tune Turkish Air Defense to it. And build platforms to detect and track it.
