yep, very underrated, being able to fly at that altitude, and that range for recon while still having the ability for VTOL. Its a very nice capability and good middle between FPV drones and standard drones like the TB2.

mini cruise missile thing was pretty innovative compared to these, I question the wisdom of sticking so many expensive electronics in such a small missile but it could bring in some exports.

Which is almost a direct copy of Havelsan Baha and there are other Turkish companies that make this type of cameras. Blitz is a good example.

It can do 50 percent of the work that helicopters do on ships. Reconnaissance and surveillance.

The Turkish UAVs have now, by HIS PERMISSION, covered all levels of ops - strategic, operational, and tactical....

Bayraktar TB3 broke a record with its domestic engine​

Bayraktar TB3 UCAV broke a new record by reaching an altitude of 33,000 feet with its domestic engine and successfully completed the High Altitude System Performance Test.
The testing process of Bayraktar TB3, an armed unmanned aerial vehicle developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, continues successfully. After making its first flight on October 27, 2023, as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of our Republic, SİHA successfully continued its medium and high altitude performance tests and broke a record by successfully completing another test.

RECORD ALTITUDE WITH DOMESTIC ENGINE​

Bayraktar TB3 SİHA successfully completed the High Altitude System Performance Test by reaching an altitude of 33,000 feet in the flight carried out at AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ's Çorlu district. Taking off with the PD-170 engine developed domestically by TEI, the national UCAV reached the highest altitude ever reached with a domestic engine during the high altitude flight test.
Bayraktar TB3 SİHA made an important mark in Turkish aviation history with the altitude record it broke with a domestic engine. The altitude record in our national aviation history belongs to Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which was developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, with 45 thousand 118 feet.


TOTAL FLIGHT REACHED 327 HOURS​

Bayraktar TB3 SİHA has remained in the air for a total of 327 hours and 35 minutes in the test flights carried out so far. In the long flight test carried out on December 20, 2023, the National UCAV remained in the air for 32 hours and traveled 5,700 km in the sky before landing on the ground.

NATIONAL MIHA, NATIONAL CAMERA​

Bayraktar TB3 UCAV flew for the first time on March 26, 2024, with ASELFLIR-500, developed nationally by Aselsan. Within the scope of the test, the integration of the ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, which has the highest performance compared to its equivalents in the world, was successfully carried out.

FIRST FLIGHT FROM TCG ANADOLU WILL BE IN 2024​

Bayraktar TB3 UCAV will be the first armed unmanned aerial vehicle in the world with the ability to take off and land from short-runway ships such as TCG Anadolu with its foldable wing structure. Baykar Chairman of the Board and Technology Leader Selçuk Bayraktar announced that they planned to start tests for Bayraktar TB3 on the TCG Anadolu ship in 2024. The capabilities that Bayraktar TB3 will have will be an important innovation for unmanned aerial vehicles in this class.
The national SİHA will also have beyond-line-of-sight communication capability, so it can be controlled from very long distances. Thus, it will have a multiplier effect on Turkey's deterrent power by performing reconnaissance-surveillance, intelligence and attack missions against overseas targets with the smart munitions it carries.

EXPORT CHAMPION​

Baykar, which has carried out all its projects with its own resources since the beginning, has obtained 83% of all its revenues from exports since the beginning of the UAV R&D process in 2003. According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) in 2021 and 2022, it became the export leader of the defense and aerospace industry. Baykar, which was announced as the export champion of the sector in 2023 by the Presidency of Defense Industries, achieved exports of 1.8 billion dollars last year.

Obtaining more than 90% of its revenues from exports in recent years, Baykar alone made 1/3 of the exports in the defense and aerospace sector in 2023. 97.5% of the contracts currently signed by Baykar, the world's largest UAV exporter, are export-based. Export agreements have been signed with 34 countries, 33 countries for the Bayraktar TB2 SİHA, and 9 countries for the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA so far.

Should have went with a Matte paint job. The glossy paint makes it look like plastic, and will flaws will look more apparent.
