Any indication of the cost of a single destroyer? Plus the cost of fully equipping the ship?TF-2000 Destroyer is 8.300 tons with 96 cells VLS to carry 160 SAMs + 16 antiship Missiles + 16 land attack cruise Missiles ..
also great defense capability with

Turkish TF-2000 Destroyer will be more powerful than Indian Visakhapatnam class Destroyer + Pakistani Type-054 Frigate combined
If Turkey wants to have just 4 of TF 2000 destroyers although I seriously believe 8 would be the minimum number. Still Turkey should come up with a Frigate design which has 32 VLS. 16 dedicated for Air Defense role and 16 for land attack cruise missiles plus 8 AntiShip missiles in traditional way.I agree for frigates.
4 of these big ships is far than enough.
Better have 10 more medium frigates than 4 more of these cruiser like.
KAAN and ANKA 3 are on a very long and sharp road....
The SPY-6 is only an S-band radar and does not integrate X-band. It remains a fourth-generation radar.Reytheon's SPY-6 on DDG 125 says hello.
The Barak 8 has 2 good features, the missile is small, and the speed is variable depending on the distance to target location. It is smaller, less propellent and by design much quicker to reaction time to engage missiles like cruise missiles. You can have more, missiles per volume, and they are cheaper as well. The Barak 8 is a perfect missile for frigates to Destroyers. They don't know Barak 8 is the only SAM in the world with minimum interception range of 0.5km. All other SAMs of its class have minimum 1 to >1.5km MIR. The extremely efficient light weight DPRM design gives it QR caps with terminal homing speed reaching Mach 5 with 2nd pulse motor. The Pakistani Type 054A/P frigates will be able to carry HQ-16FE missiles soon enough, with a slightly longer range then the Barak-8 missiles.
Other than the Antiship missiles, and the Capacity of the radar, they are nearly on parity; an Indian Destroyer and a Pakistani Frigate.
If the TF-2000 is 7000 tons and packs 96 VLS, it may be a better fit for the PN’s desire for 6 destroyers.
Agree with most of your post but I respectfully don't agree with the point that India doesn't have a requirement for ship in the class of 055..... India has long 3 ocean coastlines Arabian sea in west, IOR in the south and bob in east with 1000s of islands and Andaman islands are actually 1000s of miles away from mainland..... in order to protect such large region with powerful navies lurking around we definitely have a requirement for powerful ships like 055.....Different classes of warships have different battlefield orientations.
For example, in the Chinese Navy, aircraft carriers have the primary air defence role and are responsible for seizing air control.
The 055 is responsible for anti-ballistic missile (ABM), anti-hypersonic missile (AHBM), and anti-satellite (ASAT) operations, and uses the YJ21(YJ21 is a hypersonic anti-ship missile. Full range Mach 6, end Mach 10. Range 1500km to 1800km) for its primary area denial mission, as well as taking on some of the mid-level air defence tasks. It is also the fleet's electronic hub and command core.
btw: The 055 has the world's only digital array radar. It is the only fifth-generation radar, similar to the F22 of 2005, and is far superior to other radars with its four bands: X, S, C and L.
The 052D is responsible for the main intermediate area air defence mission and performs part of the area denial mission using the YJ18.
The 054B/054AG is responsible for close air defence (HQ16EF with a range of 160km).The 054B carries out the main anti-submarine mission and the 054AG carries out part of the anti-submarine mission. The 054AG is also required to be responsible for other missions such as offshore island resupply and escort of merchant ships.

The primary reason why India does not build large warships in the 055 class is because India does not have a corresponding military requirement and India does not have a naval fleet of that size. The secondary reason is that India does not have the capability to build ships of this class.
HQ-9/16F both have a active-radar seeker, and the stealth target-drones they use for trarining are superior than any anti-ship missilese that india will have in the future 10 years. The Barak 8 has 2 good features, the missile is small, and the speed is variable depending on the distance to target location. It is smaller, less propellent and by design much quicker to reaction time to engage missiles like cruise missiles. You can have more, missiles per volume, and they are cheaper as well. All other SAMs of its class have minimum 1 to >1.5km MIR. The extremely efficient light weight DPRM design gives it QR caps with terminal homing speed reaching Mach 5 with 2nd pulse motor.
On the other hand, HQ-9/16 is very limited in engaging cruise missiles, which is why they are supplimented by smaller missiles in the Grumble family or in the case of PLAN, HQ-10. HQ-9/16 is a semi-active guided missile and neither has got a decent lateral acceleration, so against a modern inbound sea skimming AShM, they will be as good as nothing.

Still Turkey should come up with a Frigate design which has 32 VLS. 16 dedicated for Air Defense role and 16 for land attack cruise missiles plus 8 AntiShip missiles in traditional way.

HISAR SAM can engage on close range - low altitude sea-skimming anti-ship Missiles
speed of mach 3.5 with 2nd pulse motor.
TF2000 will have a more firepower for sure but I guess Visakhapatnam will be better for air defence because it is armed with combat proven Barak 8 and Barak could even destroy deadly Iskandar ballistic missile.....
