To the simplest term, Trump saw a way in, and he took it, and as usual, didn't think ahead. It can only be saddening, not surprising at such views, while at the same time highlighting the importance of free communication to help improve understanding of different points of view.
To be fair, regarding USA as "a thieving scum of a nation" is just as wrong as portraying it as "something to look up to". It is just another country, in a world full of countries. No one country is perfect, and they all do whatever possible to further their own national interests, without exception: USA, EU, Russia, China, Israel, Iran ... ... They ALL do it.
On topic, Maduro obviously was doing what he felt were the right policies to follow. Like many who found out the hard way, prolonged economic distress can lead a whole nation into supporting desperate acts that might appear to be attractive solutions, but are not in the long term. Outside forces are only too happy to oblige, as this event shows.
Not to go off topic, but in this are important lessons for both Iran and Pakistan, with failing economies, an increasingly desperate people and enemies outside just waiting to pounce.
i remember Iraqis and Libyans celebrating too , shall we ask them what they think about it now
This can go both ways, and it can make Venezuela to become a US allies but at the same time, if things are planned and executed well, it WILL become another Iraq and follow us every move.
You want to understand Trump. You see a street tug. Who follows his ego? He's very easy to understand. He's very predictable.Regrettably, China indeed has no ability to save Maduro. Even the think tanks in China until the day before yesterday still believed that the US would not invasion Venezuela. Trump is an unconventional man. Or, put another way, the world order is collapsing faster than the Chinese anticipated.
Ok, Thomas Massie brought this up from a different angle......
This behavior completely deviates from China's political aesthetics, and the Chinese government will definitely not do such a thing to any sovereign country.US is one of them, China is another,
That's more complicated. Iraqis had majority say with significant Sunni minority, but there was also the Kurdish factor.i remember Iraqis and Libyans celebrating too , shall we ask them what they think about it now
one more coup bro just one more .I'm hopeful
latinas
Don't expect a non-corrupt leader taking power in a latin american country...the thing though is that the people get wealthy. Let the boss have a lot more money,if you live pretty well, why careone more coup bro just one more .

Yeah, for some reason I keep missing the NOT when I type on this computer.....You mean if things are NOT executed well, Venezuela can become another Iraq, right?
I agree this can go both ways, since it is too early to tell what shape a post-Maduro Venezuela will take.
Problem was not the socialists policies. But US imposed sanctions!
