Why Iran never retaliates

Israel has offered mainstream Fatah group in early 2000s pretty much that - whole of Gaza, 95% of West Bank with status of Jerusalem up for negotiations. the offer won't apply for groups like the Hamas for good reason
this is not true. Israel 'offered' bantustans in the West Bank divided by Israeli settlements and controlled by Israel and they offered the Palestinians virtually none of East Jerusalem

Gaddafi, who surrendered to the US, disarmed, accepted inspections, and even signed a non-aggression pact with Italy, a major NATO member, could not avoid war.
What happened to Hussein, who capitulated to the US in the Gulf War?
What happened to Syria, which made peace with the West after the Gulf War?
There is no example of a war that was avoided because of a low profile.
Happily for Iran, the US was busy invading other countries.
But this ironically may have led to the misconception that by keeping a low profile, an attack from the enemy could be avoided.
It is probably too optimistic to think that the West, which even fires missiles at the Russian mainland through proxies, will refrain from attacking Iran indefinitely.
Iran's security is seriously threatened unless it can at least be convinced that it is a formidable opponent worthy of negotiation.

there was a period of time where the US had a massive military presence/occupation on either side of the Iranian borders (Iraq and Afghanistan). how Iran escaped being attacked at that time (with US neocons dominating US politics) is a miracle

Iran survived the Iraq-Iraq conflict which was an actual war

A foreign nation parking 3,000 troops near your shore is not war

Compared to that now Iran has catalog of Strategic weapons
  • Anti Ship missiles
  • Anti Aircraft missiles
  • Anti Aircraft guns
  • Foreign SAMs
  • Locally produced SAMs
  • Advance radars
  • UAV program
  • Stealth program
  • Heck even "Space Program"
  • Unlimited supply of Conventional bombs

I am starting to believe that there is some backdoor deals between US and Iran, that's why Iran rat's out these leaders, once the top leadership of Hamas and Hezbullah are dead Iran will bring new leaders and the cycle continue, with every attack by these resistance group Israel will kill more civilians and make their life hell ultimately forcing people to just leave the Palestine. And Arabs who are right now living a luxurious life style are nothing but bidding their time sooner or later the flames of war will reach their capitals and by then it will be too late, Israel's recent pager attacks showed how easily it is for them to rig a tiny device turning into a lethal weapon, imagine what will happen to the Arab leaders if they ever dare to go against the will of their masters.
Not sure about US and Iran deal, as Trump poured water over it:

However Iran has internal fissures possibly, and some faction either from IRGC or some Intel agency might be giving Humint to Mossad. Some really pinpointed attacks on IRGC commanders, and then Hizb or Hamas (one right in Iran) commanders points to this possibility.

So there is some sort of info leak that is aiding Israel and most possibly its coming from Iran (other than the groups themselves being infiltrated) , as they are the ones with full info on all these groups.

I will tell you how Iran escaped: 2007 Global Recession.

The world entered the worst economic recession in 100 years and war was off the table.Obama was then elected and he wanted to normalize relations. That kept Iran safe till 2016.

Afghan invasion/occupation started from 2000, Iraq war/invasion started from 2003. They had plenty of time before 2007
