It is the 1st ADS in the world which reportedly shot down a Russian-made Iskander short-range ballistic missile fired by Armenia. Many people don't know it is the only SAM in the world with minimum interception range of 0.5km. All other SAMs of its class have minimum 1 to >1.5km MIR. The extremely efficient light weight DPRM design gives it QR caps with terminal homing speed reaching Mach 5 with 2nd pulse motor.

Now do we want to start that?
If we do, I might point out that the PRC is a colonial power oppressing Tibet, where it had no presence before the Qing Dynasty, and before the middle of the 18th century.
We can go that route and push this thread back into the drain, or we can lay off the southern Tibet allusions. Up to you.

PS: No need to shout. You can be heard loud and clear.
Tibet was part of China since Yuan dynasty at least. And your India is a product of British imperial colonialism, never existed before 1947, lol. That's why we had 1962 war and will have another bigger one in the near future for you people's delusions.

I hope Indian general should first check out map before deciding to shell China

Thank you, I can never remember their English names.

This guy was a real legend! And probably one of the most underrated generals in the Chinese history. In battles, he created miracles after miracles.
Every times I read the battles he led in various books I was wowed by his unrivaled tactics and leadership.

The wiki entry of this event written in Chinese is far more detailed than when written in English.

Good exercise to practise your Chinese https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/大小和卓之亂

Of course we always know countries expand and contract, Qing dynasty lost around 4 million square kilometers to Russia and central Asian countries, but we didn't try to get them back and we reached border agreement with almost all 14 neighbors.
Interesting.

I read Majumdar's history book during UPSC preparation. I think the Srivijaya empire in SE asia was invaded by the Cholas (or maybe Pandyas). It is still a good parallel because according to the chinese 'Mogols invaded China so Mongolia belongs to China'. That's like saying Babur came from Farghana/ Samarkand so Afghanistan belongs to us. Britain colonized India so Britian belongs to us.
I'm not contradicting your analogy, merely a detail.

Incidentally, your examples are directly aligned to the case of Tibet.

Oh my god IS THERE A SINGLE POST YOU PUT WHICH IS NOT A PANEGYRIC OF ALL THINGS CHINA?
This is actually a summary of what happened, in a very distorted fashion. The effort is not wrong, but the output is.
The fact is that the Manchu were a barbarian outlying tribe to the north-east of the Chinese Empire proper. They took power during a period when Ming (the preceding dynasty) power was at its lowest, and then tried to amalgamate their culture and the mainstream culture of the Han Chinese that they had overcome. It was not entirely successful; the resentment and the concealed hatred of Han for Manchu finds expression in a dozen ways.
The thing is that our friend's pitch does not allow for any rifts, or gaps, or unpleasant reminders that they were conquered twice, and ruled twice, by aliens, and not for a year or two, more like two centuries, from the late 17th century to 1914 in the case of the Qing.

Han rule over China, so as Mongols and Manchus did, there 's no contradiction, China is never a single ethnicity country.
Fair enough.
I would have expressed it differently, but your explanation is not unreasonable.

Can try fool see what will happen to New Delhi.
You can be abusive, as I am not moderating this thread. Otherwise, you would have reached the speed limit camp by now. Don't worry, you are safe.

What? do you think there's still any difference between Han and Manchu? We are exactly the same people now, Manchus and Zhuangs are two "minorities", in name only. Beijing has many Manchu people. there's zero difference between Manchu and Han.
