Truth. Counter Insurgency is the only role plus maybe in defense role if enemy breaches the border and comes inside. but for offense I dont think so it will be effective.

Times have changed. If your industry allows for mass development, fire a 1000 salvo of loitering munitions onto an incoming enemy column. I doubt an advancing column can take out 1000 FPV drones or Loitering munitions.

You just disabled an entire armored column for a few million dollars. That's the lethality you can get. Heli ops have become a thing of the 2000's warfare.

For Pakistan, having combat heli's in good number is needed because they've been running 70's Cobras! So a platform upgrade is needed. However, heli use has become much limited.
 
I like the idea of Helicopters in air


1- The pilot can't be jammed , as pilot is human, a drone signal can be jammed

2- The pilot can view battle field 360 degree , hovering over same location give you nice view of battlefield. Drones do a very long turn like Jets. They can scan the area and give you bird eye view quickly

3-Having 19-20 Rockets , and multi mission Air to air , or air to ground options is just too much options

Have I stated "Vertical" flight for Helicopters ?

Helicopter are must for Military group on move in battlefield

Need modern generation Helicopters , which we are doing , and filling the gap
Having a Army with no Helicopter is like Soldier with no Helmet
