Iranian UAVs | News and Discussions

the funny about all this is: shaheds are guided by GPS, but USA doesnt disable GPS in war zones and let enemies bomb friends.
Can you tell us, how can USA disable GPS?

Russia has its own version of GPS by the way, can easily switch to that if needed.

Russia like other countries is not living in 80s. They use methods for navigation much more advanced than GNSS-1 and GNSS-2.

During US invasion of Iraq, we witnessed that not only AS was removed but also SA along with coded signals were all freed to increase the speed of data processing by American naval units. When a navy carrier approaches to enemy coastal lines, every second would matter.

Conclusion is, at war times GPS will not only be open access but also the military grade precision positioning signals will be available.

No one cares of GPS

Use Glonass or Beidou (or in the future Iranian version)

They did before XXI century, lowing accuracy when there is a war in war zones.

"Selective Availability"

Or they can just switch off sats when overfly Ukraine, but they didn't.

They are not interested in peaceful solutions.

Yeah, USA backs Ukraine, but in a war aggressive way, they support Ukraine as long they kill each other.

In fact, if they would want peace, they can achieve it just bribing Russia, like they solve all the problems.

But war is no the problem, it's the wanted thing by USA in European soil.

So you want to disable GPS on an specific location ? Do you even know how GPS works?

I've already answered your question, do you even know read or are you a AI bot?

USA already did it in the 90s. It's called "Selective Availability".

USA could just switch off GPS sats when overfly Ukraine, but they dont want, they just let USA enemies bomb USA allies using GPS signal.

It's the same SA that I have already pointed to in above post. SA is no issue when you receive the polluted signal and decode it. Guess what we have done that in university lol. We minimized the error and allowed the user to increase the precision using our proven methods.

You cannot turn GPS off for an specific location, the transmitter on the satellites are not designed for doing something like that. Even if you turn a couple of satellites off, you still cannot deny ground based receiver other wavelengths sent from multiple satellites in space.

We combined GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU signals, decoded them and reduced their errors to the minimum level by interpolation them. That's only one of the many solutions. The best solution is the one that has least time consuming process. And we were bunch of beginner students not defense ministry. Imagine what they can do already. What we did was a total joke compared to what they know and what they have done.

Russia replaced gps with glonass
by the way the drone is slow and low flying so it use civilian GPS if they disable it then all the services that use it will be rendered useless

They can switch off GPS sats when overfly a zone, obviously it can't be targeted to a specific exact zone, but they can't switch off signal for a large whole zone if they want.

It's not USA mainland, they can disable all GPS signals received in Ukraine and it wont affect USA gps users, it would affect Ukraine neighbor countries, but better that than let Russia destroy Ukraine.

A decent country would disable GPS and give ally GNSS jammers of all kind to deploy over all country and especially in Kyiv.

But USA behavior is not decent, USA behavior since 2010s is like a rogue state, always trying to spread mayhem outside America continent.

They dont want avoid blasts, they give Ukraine weapons to keep things burning and exploding, but they dont want to avoid the attacks.

Shaheds use as GNSS receiver a SDR board.

I guess they must use something like...

Like @muhammed45 said, it likely uses all available GNSS signals: GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo and so on. It add accuracy, the more signals the better.

But USA should not cooperate adding accuracy allowing GPS use in that zone.

if you don't have the encryption codes you will not be able to use them
