Trump Officials Announce More Than $11 Billion in Arms Sales for Taiwan

It's you who's delusional, not us.

Don't you get it yet? You've been fantasizing that Taiwan or other nations would fight and die for you.

But from the very beginning, our war preparations have always targeted you—Taiwan is merely our bait. We never intended to wage war against Taiwan. Once we defeat the United States, Taiwan will surrender.

You’re as a delusional as they come pink, and you’ve defeated absolutely no one. It’s YOU, China, that is boxed in and surrounded by US allies and US military forces. Why? Because the region sees YOU as the aggressor and the nation that needs to be defended against.

China is dying nation, literally. China is losing 200-250M workers between now and 2050. Then another 350-400M workers through 2100. Your population will halve and 60% of what remains will be over the age of 60. Chinas future is bleak. You’re not defeating the US, no matter how much hopium you inject in your veins. The US will remain preeminent until the Sun envelops the Earth.

You vastly underestimate Taiwans resolve and the US for that matter. China does so at its own risk.
All your chest thumping will come down to this, put these words in stone, if China decides to take a military option with Taiwan the US Navy along with Japan wont show up. I said before your leaders will not stomach 000's dead marines, no US president would. Rest is just fantasy.

Taiwan will be Chinas graveyard

The US military is rapidly expanding its forces and munitions stockpiles.

Over 1,000 fifth gen fighters now in service,
B-21 ramping production, first F-47 in production, Flight 3 Burke’s now delivering, Block V Virginias and Columbia now under construction etc.

The US is also vastly expanding its satellite architectures in space through Starshield, SDA, etc. The US will have advanced air and ground tracking, space based interceptors, and missile tracking and defeat capability. With Starship and New Glenn, the US has huge mass to orbit capability. The US will see all and track all.

I also estimate by 2035 US military cruise missile stockpiles will be 15-20K, and ballistic missiles 4-5K. And other critical munitions are seeing large increases in production.
None of what you bragged about is your exclusive domain..... empires fall when they overextend themselves.... history lesson 101 .

Thank you. I appreciate your friendly response. I do not deny Chinese military strength and capability but Taiwan can draw other heavyweights into the fight and trigger a global crisis due to reasons mentioned in my previous post. This is something that China may not want and it is logical. It is not a question mark on Chinese strength. Perhaps China can find a way through negotiations in time. God knows best.

I personally do not wish to see war in this region. China and Taiwan are beautiful states and should co-exist peacefully. If unification is on the cards then it shall be a peaceful process. All the best.
Mature post , kudos for that......if the war draws in other powers then you got to watch out for Russia , it's a dark horse.....if Russia joins China it will be over for the rest .

USA is not going to directly get involved. USA will not fight China for Taiwan. That is the start of a war between China, USA and all of USA bases in east Asia.

USA will try to supply weapons for a little while until China establishes a blockade, after that it will be game over for Taiwan. Taiwan is a small island very close to China, it will be easy to establish an aerial and land blockade of Taiwan, after that, China can literally starve them out, wear them down and their infrastructure and once Taiwan is ripe for the picking, they will move in then.

Taiwan is within the MLRS range of China, that how much disadvantage that Taiwan has that it cannot get over, nor the power of China's drone fleet which will decimate everything on the surface of Taiwan ...
If the US supplies weapons to Taiwan in wartime, that means war with China. From all the simulations I know, 9 out of 10, if the US continues support of Taiwan, it will bring the US into the war (most likely Japan and South Korea as well, as those are staging grounds for US equipment supply to Taiwan)

Even if China can blockade Taiwan (Which you can't man a blockade 24/7 unless China had 7 fleets continously operating in the AO) the US supplying weapon in this condition would mean US is going to run a Blockade runner, which China can't turn those ship around unless they sink it (I mean they can ask nicely for it) which mean this will become an act of war for the US.

In most cases, China would want to bring the US into the war with a decapitation strike akin to what the Japanese did to US in Pearl Harbor during WW2, that way the Chinese can ensure no US support would be able to reach Taiwan in short to medium term and hopfully they can conquer Taiwan in the mean time, because otherwise you are going to look at a drawn out US support with US gradually move into re-industrialisation to meet the demand, which is not good for China in a long term strategy.

There won't be any war between Taiwan and China until China has significantly improve their Amphibous Assault capability. The current capacity, even with all 8 Type 075 made, it's only able to put 50,000 troops on shore; that number will not be enough for a war with Taiwan, you need at least 10 Tier 1 amphibious assault ships and 15-20 secondary (like LST and LHD) in the current situation to be able to mount both Sea Control and Ambiphious Assault Operation from China

You can bomb Taiwan all you want, but you are not winning a war without putting boots on the ground, and the biggest enemy for China is not the Taiwanese military, but the 100-mile or so Taiwan Strait; you need to be able to send troops and heavy equipment and land at Taiwan somehow.

There’s next to no chance the US doesn’t go to war if China attacks Taiwan. Such a conflict would also be a direct threat to the Japanese, and they’d almost certainly defend Taiwan which would automatically bring the US into the war.

Posters here highly underestimate US resolve when it’s strategic interests are threatened.

The US sent a non NATO nation $60B in military aid that’s decimated the Russian military with over 1.1M dead and wounded and tens of thousands of equipment losses.
An $60B is nothing for the US, and retains the vast majority of its own equipment and now producing ammo at much higher rate than prior to the war.

The US military will steamroll the PLAN and PLAAF into the face of the planet.

CSIS estimates China will lose 90% of its amphib assault ships in the first two weeks of the war. You can’t reinforce and resupply forces without those ships.

I always think that the Taiwan Strait is the battlefield for a showdown between the Chinese Navy and the US Navy, and the loser will lose the whole world When we are ready, we can surround Taiwan and then use political pressure to force the US Navy to come to China's offshore for a decisive battle, which will determine the and loser.
Comrade, we share the same belief: China will prevail! I am waiting for the call of the nation; I am the most suitable person for the country's Road and Bridge Corps. During my university studies, the requirement of my major was 'if you encounter a mountain, open a road to ensure personnel can pass safely; if you encounter a river, build a bridge to ensure personnel can pass safely.' You should already know which school I graduated from.

I admit that military action requires training, and I underwent one month of training. I deeply regret not qualifying for reserve service due to my vision problem.

BTW, if China truly believed this, get on with reunification already. Don’t use “Chinas patience” as a crux to hide Chinas cowardice. Everyone knows China fears the consequences.
**** your mother and your sisters, you better suggest that Trump ask all aircraft carrier strike groups to hurry to the Asia-Pacific region to put pressure on China. The Chinese people have a grudge and need revenge! China conducted a model sinking experiment on the British aircraft carrier strike group, and I hope the United States will directly fire on China as a facility.

On May 8, 1999, the United States bombed the Chinese Embassy in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, killing three diplomats and injuring more than a dozen staff.

On April 1, 2001, China's capabilities were insufficient, and Chinese pilots insisted on the inviolability of territorial waters, repeatedly warning American aircraft that violated sovereignty, and American planes continued to violate China's territorial waters.

Americans do not remember the martyr No. 81192 of China Wang Wei who sacrificed his life to defend airspace. But all Chinese people remember this incident.

The Chinese government is an open government that welcomes all friendly countries to do business in China, which is why many countries open accounts in China to promote their own goods.

But the incident of the Chinese Air Force 81192 and the US bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia led to the death of three Chinese diplomats, which is a disgrace to the country. We have a lot of money to calculate with the United States.

This requires the sincerity of the United States, and the Chinese government has said that if the United States wants to negotiate, the Chinese government welcomes it. If the United States wants war, China's 1.4 billion people will accompany it to the end. I couldn't even choose for reserve military service, but I was ready to fight. I hope to use my life to prevent the enemy from stepping into Chinese territory.

Come Americans, you couldn't defeat our ancestors 75 years ago. Now that China is leading in equipment, we need to prove to our ancestors that the Communist Party has always been sustainable, and that the Communist Party of China has led us to a truly democratic and correct path. It will prove that the U.S. military is inferior to the U.S. military led by Ridgway.

Chinese are not afraid of war, the Chinese government bans firearms, and China has many precision designers. More drone pilots, which is a form of entertainment in China.

...

The US has allocated/spent around $200bn on Ukraine. The Europeans have given similar amount so around 0.4trn and the Russians are winning, their terms are being dictated to Ukrajne won'tbe joining Nato nor will it be allowed to host any nato troops

Key thing the US funded Ukrainians to kill themselves US didn't directly get involved the costs are too high.

Now Taiwan has no countries that can directly supply weapons during war time because if they try its direct war.

The US and its allies dont have the stomach to take on China directly for Taiwan which is much greater in strength than Russia in all dimensions. They know its political suicide.

If China attacked US, Japanese bases pre-emptively that's a different story. If then it becomes US, Japan S Korea Australia vs China, Russia, N Korea will also jump in to support China and we are looking at a world war.

My brother, China and Pakistan are brotherly nations. China has consistently supported Pakistan’s proposals in the United Nations. China and Pakistan have always helped each other in times of difficulty.

After World War II, the documents signed have proven that Taiwan is the legitimate territory of China, which is also reflected in the documents signed between China and Pakistan.

China and Pakistan frequently cooperate in military, diplomacy, and trade, and the two countries have maintained diplomatic relations for 74 years. Therefore, I must point out that your remarks are inappropriate and violate the commitments made by the Pakistani government to the Chinese government. So I hope you can correct them.

The Chinese government has never interfered in Pakistan’s internal affairs, so I hope the Pakistani people will not interfere in China’s internal affairs. This is the foundation of the relationship between China and Pakistan. In China, people refer to Pakistani friends as “brothers as strong as steel.” China supports Pakistan’s position on Kashmir, and the Pakistani people need to support China’s legitimate rights.

Therefore, I need to declare once again that Taiwan is the territory of the People’s Republic of China, and there is ample historical evidence for this. The relevant treaties after World War II established the sovereignty of the People’s Republic of China over Taiwan. This is China’s internal affair.

I can only tell you that China will achieve reunification, regardless of the involvement of the United States, Japan, or many other countries. The Chinese people welcome countries that are hostile toward China to come to the South China Sea. China is a country that appreciates support from other nations, but it is also a country that retaliates against enmity. In Chinese history, a victory is written in a single line, while a defeat is recorded in a whole book.

Comrades, China is ready. Using the statements of the Chinese government to explain the issues between China and the United States, if the U.S. government is willing to negotiate, the Chinese government welcomes it. If the U.S. government wishes to start a war against China, the Chinese people will fight to victory, no matter how many countries are on the opponent's side.

I can only tell everyone that the Chinese military is demonstrating a different model of warfare. It is something we have never seen before, and can hardly even imagine. Just as Pakistan created the most air-to-air kills, it will create a brand-new model of warfare.

US can't defeat China now as Trump tries so hard to, so you Yank now resort to cursing China based on your wishful thinking, laughable, sounds like Indian.

The Trump administration asked Congress on Wednesday to approve an arms package for Taiwan valued at more than $11 billion, in what would be a huge injection of military aid to the self-governing democratic island bracing for a long-feared invasion by China.

If approved by Congress, as is likely given Taiwan’s strong bipartisan support, the package would exceed the $8.4 billion in arms sold to Taiwan during the Biden administration, according to figures recently compiled by the research arm of Britain’s House of Commons. And it would be equivalent to more than half the $18.3 billion in arms sold to Taiwan during President Trump’s first term in office.

The size of the proposal is likely to reassure China hawks in Washington who have grown uneasy about Mr. Trump’s commitment to defending Taiwan as he seeks to cut trade and economic deals with Beijing.

It means invasion of Taiwan is dangerously close. But it is still not enough. China can unleash colossal firepower on Taiwan and all this little investment is futile. Surrender is the best option , we have seen the Russian - Ukraine war and after millions casualties Ukraine and the West have realised negotiation and a deal is the only proper outcome to achieve .
