You do CCS on your own current platform, so a J-10 pilot will not fly JF-17 for that course.and why not on JF17 block 3?

He is bright student lol. Maa baap ka ladla ho gaMy younger brother was on F-7 when they retired from 2 sqn. He went to PG, then JF-17 and further to F-16. Then he was selected for J-10 and went to China. Whereas I have only done F-7 OCU.![]()
That's pretty cool! What's his take on F-16 vs J-10CE interms of flight characteristics? My younger brother was on F-7 when they retired from 2 sqn. He went to PG, then JF-17 and further to F-16. Then he was selected for J-10 and went to China. Whereas I have only done F-7 OCU.![]()
I think I have to retract what I have said, PL-17 can definitely target fighter jets unlike previous speculation, and it has further range when the target is AWEC,tanker...What's the AA missile available then, from China, which is for 300-400km range kills of fighter sized targets?
For J-10s in China, PAF pilots are doing flying training or also tactics from PLAAF?My younger brother was on F-7 when they retired from 2 sqn. He went to PG, then JF-17 and further to F-16. Then he was selected for J-10 and went to China. Whereas I have only done F-7 OCU.![]()
They are comparable in that but J-10 has advantage of avionics and weapons. That's pretty cool! What's his take on F-16 vs J-10CE interms of flight characteristics?
Nope, it was focused on platform only but he participated in Shaheen exercise afterwards for tactics development. For J-10s in China, PAF pilots are doing flying training or also tactics from PLAAF?
How was your brother's experience in China in terms of learning, engagements etc.?

Bhai, aap itnay naa laiq thay ?My younger brother was on F-7 when they retired from 2 sqn. He went to PG, then JF-17 and further to F-16. Then he was selected for J-10 and went to China. Whereas I have only done F-7 OCU.![]()
I wasn't in school back thenBhai, aap itnay naa laiq thay ?
Well, comparison to your brother, not me.
I appeared for PAF ISSB in 1990 .
Applied for CAE , but at issb , some of us were recommended for both GDP and CAE .
Went to masroor base Karachi for CMB .
Got recommended for both CAE and GDP.
Ended up getting rejected for both at AHQ . Never joined PAF![]()
what about thrust to weight ratio? which one has the better one? They are comparable in that but J-10 has advantage of avionics and weapons.
J-10C has better TWR but F-16's lower wing loading makes up for it to some extent.what about thrust to weight ratio? which one has the better one?
J-10C has better TWR but F-16's lower wing loading makes up for it to some extent.
| Thrust-to-Weight (TWR) | J-10C | Better vertical climbs and faster recovery of lost speed. |
| Wing Loading | F-16 | Tighter sustained turns and better lift efficiency at high Gs. |
PAF has had 37 F-16s flying for a parade at one point.this would be unheard of...globally, forget for fighter jets, but for any aircraft! Put me onto whatever maintenance you're doing, i should be sending my planes there also.
