Did you ignore the part where they out range you?I don't agree with this philosophy. we should maximize the equipment when it goes out at sea to inflict vital blow if need be. 4 missiles are a deterrent, they can take out 1 or 2 targets max, 8 of them are a punch
I believe this is already being addressed with new AD being acquired, which are also more suited to deal with the brahmos threat.Dont get me wrong but how the heck we are going to continue our A2/AD strategy if the IN decides to lob for say 14 Brahmos from long distances?
Our AD is not good for large scale attacks , AshBM need large censor fusion for accurate strikes. and we have to keep in mind that IAF will most probably help the IN in attacking our assets and to keep PAF busy (which only has 30 j10s for peer to peer competition )
It just feels all hope lost![]()
Another more simple method is force dispersion, IMO PN should focus on building a proper second naval base in Gwadar and a submarine base in Ormara with underground pens.
Ormara and Gwadar will be protected by sheer distance from any land based brahmos and PN subs will keep IN ships at bay to make sure they don't get in range.
