Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Ok, the USS Lincoln got hit by Iranian missiles and at least 1 US sailor was killed (probably more). The aircraft carrier made 90 degrees evasive manouvres, so they probably lost some jets as well. Iran also shot down a F-18 jet 24 hours ago, so this is the main reason why they assassinated the IRGC navy commander this morning.

You can't seriously believe this to be true, do you?

Look closer at the photo. And then convince yourself a carrier is capable of a 90 degree turn like that.

You are being obtuse, I said with protective equipment. I didn’t say you can take your shirt off and go sunbathe or grow crops. Unless you have evidence pointing against the radiation dissipation rate I states, please post it. Other than that you are moving into world of opinion.

It is still airbust, meaning the detonation happens in the air and not upon impact into the bedrock. Again please post the evidence you have of lethal radiation zone decay rate of the B61-11 with protective equipment.

The Yazd missile site is under 1600 feet of granite.

And what is your plan here @dbc there are over 25 missile bases in Iran and some will require multiple nuclear weapons to have a shot at your “irradiation” strategy. You going to drop 40+ nukes all across Iran and think that’s politically feasible and acceptable? (Putting aside the massive amount of radiation that will be carried over the PG, Pakistan, India).

These talks are always pointless.
He had his extreme slanted bias views and trying to pretend anything otherwise is hilarious

One wonders if slow lumbering tanks may soon be obsolete completely.
Somehow they´re. Even if they´re necessary still in some missions, the extended range of FPV wire guided and longer range optical missiles like Spike/Almas are narrowing the window of suitability of them. So your excepticism it is justified.

Right now, we have crazy leadership with big egos on all sides
I struggle with this false equivalence that is routinely deployed.

Tehran is trying to assure its very survival. It is not a matter of "ego" for them, rather simple existence as a political entity.

The only true ego deployed here is a glorified day trader who happens to be squatting in Washington DC.

3 hours old tweet.

Grok:
  • No credible reports exist of any Iranian missile named “Al-Qari’ah” (or Arabic equivalents like القارعة). Searches across news, defense analyses, and recent conflict updates turn up nothing from IRGC announcements, Iranian state media (e.g., Fars, Tasnim), or international outlets. The name appears only in Quran recitations or unrelated posts—not tied to any weapon.
  • 40-ton weight is unrealistic for Iran's known arsenal. Iran's heaviest operational ballistic missiles, like the Khorramshahr-4 (also called Kheibar or similar variants), have a total launch weight estimated at 20–30 tons (not 40), with a ~2,000 km range and heavy warheads of 1,500–2,000 kg (1.5–2 tons). Iran has emphasized "super-heavy" or large-warhead missiles in recent "True Promise" operation waves, but nothing approaches a 40-ton missile. A true 40-ton system would be ICBM-class (like Russia's Sarmat), requiring massive infrastructure Iran doesn't openly field for such a weapon.

I'm sure there is an unlimited supply of clean radiation free oxygen, water and food for the cave complex crew to shelter in place in their advanced nuclear shielding hazmat suits each costing about 10,000 USD like the RST Demron Suit.
If the US uses nukes again, it may as well forget about nonproliferation. It sets an international precedent and will open a pandoros box where other states could use nukes to end conflicts, Russia case in point. The irony of it as well, trumpy using nukes to stop imaginary Iranian nukes.

It seems to be a common theme throughout this thread.
not going to lie that’s why i tend to filter out the extremes on either side if I only had button to ignore a couple of moderators this thread would be perfect 😍
