Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

There will have to be loading stations. There will be physical ships. Oil has to get transferred to ships somehow. The ships move slowly. Sinking one will close a canal. We saw that at the Suez a couple of years back. That is a very target rich environment. Disrupting such delicate and safety sensitive operation is very easy.
Yeah, but the difference this time is that if you threaten that canal, they will do the same to the Strait of Hormuz. So, the situation will be very different, right? If you shut their canal, they will shut down the Strait of Hormuz as well.

Yes, seriously. The US stayed in Afghanistan for 20 years, even established military bases there. The US could've held Afghanistan indefinitely if they wanted to. They left Afghanistan after turning the country into an even worse failed state than it initially was.
That is being overzealous... but devoid of facts and nuances. It based on conjecture and fear...

US could not have kept that presence in Afghanistan without a corridor through Pakistan! You don't know the Afghanistan of 90's ... it is better today than how it was...
When US left without it's materiel... it replaced Taleban with Taleban... who were NEVER a military force, never! Were missing basics of an organized front... various factions kept together for a common cause. Iraq was supported directly through GCC... the worst terrain to defend... and a single port that once lost trapped the state inside.

Iraq is also the size of multiple European countries. Afghanistan too. What's your point?

If you don't understand basics then don't push them... logistics in hostile terrain and territory can collapse an adventure on their own... everyone gets overstretched... Nazi campaign was over stretched on it's way to Moscow... and that was a straight line... no air bridge needed.

Pakistan is making a military alliance with a country we are currently at war with. I am not criticizing, I just find it interesting. Please continue.

Has the agreement signed? Has the alliance been made official? It's better to comment when it happens.

When Iran made allianc with Houthis, Assad of Syria and Hezbollah and Iraqi militias. I never seen Iranians or people who criticizing, complain about those shody alliances. Iranians and non-Pakistanis has no right to criticize anything that Pakistan thinks is best for herself. If anyone wants to criticize start with your own country and the alliances you've made or gonna make.
Getting dragged into Mideast wars for a few $$$ and cheap loans , while seven times larger India is breathing down your neck, isn't in Pakistan's interests. We have 50 years of fighting the West's war in Afghanistan as further proof.

OT so people can start a separate thread on this topic.

I'm still waiting to see the text of the Pakistan-Saudi one and to have it debated and ratified by Parliament.

The current war's main goal for Iran is to cement Iranian control over the Hormuz and remove the US military threat. Granted that is a hefty goal, our leaders are vomit inducingly bad. But that is the goal nonetheless. If Iran achieves that there will be nobody left to shut down the Strait. I don't see India and Philippines assembling an armada to confront Iran

It is with KSA who is active participant in this conflict…. Its a complex situation when Saudis get pounding again ….

We'll discuss it in relevant thread and when we cross that bridge. I don't like the hypocrisy and double standards being displayed here where people defends the alliances made by Iran and criticize what Pakistan is doing.

Weren't you one of those people who cheered Iran's victory over the US? Devoid of facts nuances? lol

Afghanistan is a landlocked country. What does that have to do with Khuzestan and Bushehr with access to the Persian Gulf?
Khuzestan is even connected to Iraq as well. Khorramshahr in Khuzestan was under Iraqi control for nearly 2 years during the Iraq-Iran war. What are you even talking about? lol Do you even know what you are talking about? Clearly not.

If you don't understand basics then don't push them... logistics in hostile terrain and territory can collapse an adventure on their own... everyone gets overstretched... Nazi campaign was over stretched on it's way to Moscow... and that was a straight line... no air bridge needed.
Trust me, any random Joe in Iran understands military affairs regarding Iran better than you. Saddam held Khuzestan of Iran for 2 years and you think the US with over 10 military bases around us and access to Iraqi territory cannot? rofl What an expert on Iran! We have so many of them here.
