When you start getting technical, india wasn't colonised either. It did not exist. The British literally named and created india.
Most of the countries in the world did not have their names so they were not colonised either i suppose.

That's what I meant. And since Alexander is mentioned, he was from macedonia, now a Greek province. He was not from the Macedonia that took up the name.

Likewise he conquored Ancient India, now Pakistan and not the country that took up this European-given geographical name
