Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

How many of the former chiefs have retired "overseas"? I can tell you, of the living ones, the oldest is Aslam Beg (In Pakistan), Asif Janjua (deceased in Pakistan), Wahid Kakar (Pakistan), Jehangir Karamat (in Pakistan), Pervez Musharraf (deceased, died in Dubai on account of a very rare health issue), Kiyani (Pakistan), Raheel Sharif (Pakistan) and even Bajwa is in Pakistan.

So where are all these retired overseas COAS?

The above is a case of ad-nauseam repeating the same canard over and over in the hope people will start believing it. Unfortunately many gullible do.
Got to admire your patience to politely respond to these intellectually dishonest and dumb creatures.

Yea they have multiple times. I know you're lying and don't have any proof I was just checking if you had anything worthwhile to say.

Here is a simple Gemini prompt (Gemini is an LLM that is integrated with Google Search, so it will find any news article of PTI supporting TTP)

Apologies for the AI slop, but I did not feel like going through the trouble of digging up all PTI statements and actions that go directly against what you're claiming. Kabhi kabaar ham lazy hojatay hay.

So, even though you are a bold-faced liar I will humour you a little bit more. Please share with us, not just me but all of us here some bonafide evidence of PTI being a terrorist party. I will relinquish all support for PTI right now. I'll sing and dance to any ISPR tune you want.

@Cipher212
I am still waiting for you to provide the source links for the crap that you have pasted in the black boxes.

Please provide the links to the actual media where your claimed material was published.

Stop spreading lies. If you cannot provide those links then apologize all member for posting lies, misleading, and deceiving the forum members.

Yet in every single "military dispensation", the economy has stabilized, reforms have been enacted (whatever came afterwards immediately discarded, repealed those reforms thus no long term sustained benefit), foreign relations stabilized, greater internal security etc.

Compared to normal Pakistani democracy, Pakistani autocracy has delivered more immediate benefits. I can support you on your point that in the long term it does not sustain growth but while the autocratic bureaucracy is in place, it delivers.
And where are we now? What exactly did all these so called repeated stabilizations and reforms bring us?

Reforms and stabilization policies don’t work when there is no institutional framework to take long term ownership over both policy formulation, implementation and adjustment over time.

This in fact appears to be by design - the military shows up when it feels like it and pretend its the ‘hero’ because the decrepit institutions it has created don’t have the capacity to function properly when civilian governments are:

(a) Prevented from competing in free and fair elections and therefore don’t care about the electorate

(b) Undermined and manipulated, which leads to this cycle where governments keep failing and the military keeps pretending to be the savior, by failing just a little less or chest thumping over some skirmish with India.

Ik and PTI is burnt to ashes , there will be no rise of the phoenix....... cultists will have to find a new cult hero ....I suggest some pop singer shall be given a chance next time.

I have one candidate for PTI cult to worship next.

Presenting the doctor, the lawyer, the plumber, the firefighter, the all in one and only Johnny Sins.

AM, my contention is that reforms initiated by stabilizations of the past are not carried forward because of populism and thus progress is stunted and/or regressed. Hard changes can only be pushed through autocratic means because the concern is not about electability as the incumbent. You rule for as long as you can without worrying about elections and other democratic norms.

In every single case, most of the reforms put in place by military rule have been reversed. The problems in Sind, Balochistan and even KPK today with shoddy governance have to do with non-performing local bodies. We had a really good working model enacted in Musharraf's tenure which was not allowed to move forward. 18th amendment was the end to good governance with it being sacrificed at the altar of provincial politics.

The same goes for getting alignment on infrastructure projects of strategic nature. Case in point, KBD and countless other dams. Only an autocratic ruler could make some of these things work but even the decisions made earlier were negated once the political dispensation came back to power and they have not been able to figure that out and thus, not a single new dam has been constructed in a country which is one of the most vulnerable to droughts etc. There are countless other examples of the same.

While we talk about the merits of democracy, one only has to compare the progress in China vs. India. Both third world countries in the 90s but now China being firmly in upper middle income bracket compared to India's third world status.

Lets be clear what jinnah, people of Kpk and founders wanted

They didnt want non federal government like congress wanted

Ironically things flipped india became what jinnah wanted and pakistan became a play thing for racism and imperialism

Modi's India is what Jinnah wanted? 🙉

I understand what you're trying to say but one must remember that India is the fundamental existential threat. India is quiet for now while its Afghan enablers willingly sacrifice their lives at the altar of Golwalkarian ideology.

India cannot harm you when you are at full strength and focused. It learned that last year, hence India will wait patiently.

They are indeed an incorrigible qom, as we were once warned.

Dekhein India ne overtly nahi aana. Operation Sindoor was an election stunt with no real objective or outcome that had gone wrong because Modi is a literal populist fascist hindutva Nazi.

What the real Indian attack on Pakistan is the 'aid' making its way to Afghanistan via flights.

There is no reason for them to try harm with airstrikes when there is far cheaper option available.

Blame for this border and route being open for them to exploit has been placed on numerous parties now but fact still remains, kaam kiska hay.

Jinnah was not clear on what he wanted for Pakistan exactly, but I know for sure it doesn't include any Jarnayl karnayl who didn't even have any interest in Pakistan being made.

Sometimes I wonder how he'd react to all these Ayub, Yahya, Zia, Musharaf, Bajwa, Asim type characters.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said on Sunday it sent a summary to the President House for final approval to impose an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the federal cabinet’s recommendation.

The decision came during an emergency meeting of the federal cabinet held on Sunday, where Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was briefed on the security situation in KP.

According to a statement by the PMO, cabinet members reviewed the situation and took note of the “provincial government’s deliberate disengagement from the fight against terrorism”.

The members proposed, given the “gravity” of the situation, that the PM advise the president to exercise “his constitutional authority and impose an emergency in the province under Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution”.

Article 232 of the Constitution provides for the proclamation of emergency in a province.

It says, “If the President is satisfied that a grave emergency exists in which the security of Pakistan, or any part thereof, is threatened by war or external aggression, or by internal disturbance beyond the power of a provincial government to control, he may issue a Proclamation of Emergency.”

However, invoking of this article requires a resolution from the provincial assembly of that province.

“Provided further that if the President acts on his own, the Proclamation of Emergency shall be placed before both Houses of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) for approval by each House within 10 days,” it says. According to this provision, parliament “shall have power to make laws for a province, or any part thereof, with respect to any matter not enumerated in the Federal Legislative List” during the time of the proclamation of an emergency.

Article 233 provides powers to the president to suspend certain fundamental rights during emergency period.

On the other hand, Article 234 deals with the imposition of the governor’s rule “in case of failure of constitutional machinery in a province”. For imposition of the governor’s rule, the president simply requires a request from the provincial governor, it says.

Addressing the cabinet meeting, the premier said the PTI-led KP government cannot be allowed to derail the stabilising economy amid tensions between the two sides.

“I will not allow them (PTI) to destabilise the economy,” he said during the meeting.

On terrorism in KP and Balochistan, the premier said, “The way common citizens are being martyred, the way police officials and security officials, children and mothers [..] there can be nothing more heart-wrenching.”

He recalled that Pakistan has repeatedly urged neighbouring Afghanistan to rein in the terrorist elements; however, “they still do not understand it”.
America ko minerals nai mily tu America bahadur nai chorayga
Or ager America ko minerals milgaey to China hamain nai chorayga..
Kis dal dal main phansa rahy Hain Pakistan ko yeh..

I am receiving some horrfying videos and images from KP, too much violence and blood, too graphic to share on a public forum

Oh no, not bara
Yeah, between 200 and 300 TTP supporters, many of them armed, came out for a 'peaceful' protest. They reportedly started firing at police force and in response police fired shots in the air before the protesters/attackers dispersed.

No need to create suspense out of this small incident. People of KPK overall have had a sigh of relief after the PTI government was dismissed.

People of KPK are well aware of the widespread corruption in PTI government and its failure in protecting peoples' life and property throughout the province. If the ministers and CM of the province start helping terrorists by publicly questioning state's policy towards terrorists and not implementing that policy while leaving the people at the mercy of terrorists, then the evil nexus between PTI and TTP cannot remain hidden from the people of the province.

Does that candidate have a playboy (dis)fame? Any illegitimate children? Is he a druggie too?

Credentials must be comparable.

You still have not provided any proof for the legitimacy of your apparent lies and forgery while you are shamelessly busy posting other crap.

Don't push yourself to the utter disgrace.

Either apologize or provide the links to media where Imran Khan/Sohail Afridi has condemned the TTP for terrorist attacks and attended the funeral prays of the shuhada of terrorist attacks.

Have some shame. Don't prove yourself a liar yo*thia.

I sometimes wonder why does it even matter what MA Jinnah wanted? He, God bless his soul, is long gone. It matters little now as to what he wanted.

Do you think Amreeki in Trump's America care what their founding fathers wanted their country to be? Many of them were hideous racists and most today don't even know who their founding fathers were. Their democracy as it exists today, was nothing like what their founding fathers had envisioned with special interests and all sorts of lobbying riding roughshod over the interests of the people that their democracy is supposed to represent (and this is the world's foremost democracy). Closer to home, Gandhi ji's India is long gone!

Jinnah did not give us a code of life. He delivered on statehood. The state now has to evolve as time goes by and we have to decide how we, as a nation, want to live.
