Incredibly insensitive and self-righteous behavior of overseas Pakistanis

But that's the point. Even though you are being sarcastic they are advocating for motions that would 'punish' the state as a whole.

And if these overseas westernized Pakistanis are successful in getting sanctions against Pakistan - then it won't hurt the westernized rich 'elites residing in Pakistan'. it won't hurt anyone who is in power or any of the decision makers.

it will either harm the security of the state as a whole (military sanctions) or outright harm the middle class/downtrodden impoverished of Pakistan (economic sanctions).

Let's not even touch the fact that they are sending their complaints to the Biden administration through congress (which is the source of the problem in the first place. Its like asking the mob boss for help when his gangsters are causing trouble on the boss's orders).
Firstly you are generalising about millions of Pakistanis abroad. Not clever.
Secondly - any vegetable brain can work out the people in charge of beloved Pakistan have been sponsored by foreign influence - these elite political clowns who In the real world struggle to run a corner shop.
Yet you want to get a danda out to beat those living abroad - most of them sending remittances that have nothing to do with the self destruction of Pakistan.
If you want to blame someone - why not consider the elite 1500 ( my guess ) families that just run Pakistan?
Someone takes these families out - not exile - actually hang them - elect people on talent and merit - then Pakistan awaam could have something to look forward to.
Don’t blame a nobody like me that along with my siblings - send ££ to family and the poor that have no political allegiance to anyone

He is not blaming people like you though, he is blaming the people writing to congress to sanction Pakistan which will hurt businesses up and down the country.

When 9 million overseas Pakistanis remittances are more than 230 million Pakistanis exports, you should listen more to overseas Pakistanis

whose foreign influence?
COAS is in the US, JCOS in GCC, Defense secretary in Russia meeting Russian defense minister and Army Chief, At the same time our Minister of industry & commerce was in China to negotiate FTA

It seems to me that we are engaging with all sides, then maybe somewhere we have to call out PTI's claims don't we?

You have nothing to worry about. @Khansaheeb informs us that Pakistan has enough big howitzers to win any conflict that may be started.

Then why are overseas Pakistanis doubling down on the situation by encouraging the current White House administration to go ahead with sanctions. Why are they going up to the mafia boss and telling him that we want your gangsters to do more harm against us?

Whatever they do it won't cause a dent at all to the elite INSIDE Pakistan.

It will harm the downtrodden and poor of Pakistan. Those are the ones who always end up paying the tough price. The westernized city-dwelling elite don't have to sacrifice anything.

But that's what they do. It's not some great service, sending money back to loved ones, it's doing what they are doing for loved ones, not Pakistan. Which is a good thing, but don't expect Pakistanis living in Pakistan who don't recieve anything from OSPs to worship them for it

No one begged you particularly, they ask for Pakistanis who are patriotic and not India adjacent

We send money back because Pakistan is a failed state. Our relatives don't have access to decent healthcare - they have to travel long distances and pay expensive private fees.

Your former PM was treated in London for his "low platelets", two former Presidents were treated in Dubai for heart failure.

We send money back to our relatives because they don't have access to decent education and need to pay fees to third grade private schools to educate thier children. Those "third grade" schools are still better than the Pakistani state schools.

We send money to our relatives because Pakistan has a failed economy and they can't afford to pay thier own bills. There are no jobs and even those in jobs earn so little.

There is no affordable housing or access to finance for our relatives to buy homes. We send money so they afford to buy homes.

We are compelled to do this because Pakistan is a failed state.

Overseas Pakistanis remittances flow into the formal economy.

The recipient of the remittances uses the proceeds to buy a variety of items from property to groceries which then translates to tax receipts which benefits the state of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s remittances are above its exports. That tells the story of the workings of the state vis a vis its workforce working abroad.

Second point, the governments that have been ruling Pakistan for the past 4 decades (PPP PMLN) have their headquarters in Dubai / London. Their first choice of health care are in these 2 places. Their first choice of fleecing kickbacks are in these places. And their first choice of absconding from law are these places.

So in summary, yes, the overseas Pakistanis have the right to being entitled. They have as much stake in Pakistan as a Pakistani taxpayer living in Pakistan.

If I was a cynic, I might say, out of the corner of my mouth, that is because it is too embarrassing for them to come to India for treatment.
P.S. I am not a cynic, but am rapidly turning that under the hammer blows that I have been receiving from a medical practitioner known to everybody on this forum.

@ziaulislam is another one of those good docs.

I can vouch for him.
