American deals are normal because they come to prevent Egypt from developing local developments or even integrating weapons. Developing M1A1 tanks locally or even in cooperation with other countries is less expensive. Even the last batch of M1A1 tanks was equipped with the same sights that the latest defense is being developed with. The deal is ultimately to support the American economy. The same thing, HELFIRE missiles are very diverse in capabilities compared to modern Chinese missiles. Chinese JK2 missiles have a range of 35 kilometers and the same destructive power, and at a price of course 1/4 of the price of American missiles and with cheap production from China and without restrictions on quantities.
70 mm missile guidance units, locally manufactured, are much cheaper than American prices. America has begun to steal from countries through arms deals several times over. It is true that Egypt will not pay a single dollar in arms deals, most of which are funded by American aid, but the prices are also exaggerated.

The same thing, the development itself does not meet the requirements of the future. The engine is a product of 30 years, and there is no real development on it, whether reducing fuel consumption or replacing components with longer-lasting components or reducing maintenance requirements, or even new engines instead of rehabilitating them. The development did not
include systems to hinder drones or even integrate drones into tanks or integrate missiles into the turret to increase firepower or even develop the tank management system or better ammunition. The Americans, for example, did not even provide equipment equivalent to what the Russians provide, who are less advanced than them. The Russian KA-52 aircraft is equipped with a huge range of ammunition and missiles, Herms, LMUR, Kh-MD-E, even the older missiles 9K121 Vikhr with a range of 12 kilometers and 9M120D Ataka with a range of 10 kilometers. We will not talk about Chinese ammunition, meaning that the Americans provide Egypt with modest-performance equipment to weaken combat capabilities under the name of free weapons.
Or because it is easy to target Apache helicopters as a result of using short-range missiles that expose them to targeting by shoulder-fired missiles.
The only benefit is to increase stockpiles of less effective weapons.
