Yes.
We usually think that the Dingxin and Cangzhou bases, should be the first users of the new fighters. However, they are both test and training units, not combat duty units.
So, we usually separate them out and do not consider them as officially equipped units of the new fighter.
Of course, this is just a difference in the way the language environment is expressed.

Indeed, but since you mentioned "One brigade of the Air Force Aviation Corps in the Northern Theater of Operations, PLA", what sounded more like an operational front-line unit!

The Chinese text on the screenshot reads “北部战区空军航空兵某旅”. (A brigade of the Air Force Aviation Corps of the Northern War Area)
It clearly identifies the unit. This is a combat unit.

This is the first time images of the J-35A have appeared in a combat unit.
The pilots of the combat unit have already started tactical training with the J-35A model.
This suggests that PLAAF and SAC are indeed accelerating the J-35A production schedule.

Just to be sure ... "It clearly identifies the unit. This is a combat unit." means it clearly identifies the unit as a combat unit? But not the unit itself?

PLAAF has two currently known test and training bases:
Dingxin Base. It is located under the jurisdiction of the Western Theater of Operations.
Cangzhou Base. It is located in the jurisdiction of the Central Theater.
These two fall under the joint leadership of their respective theaters and HQ Air Force.
There are no similar bases under the jurisdiction of the Air Force in the Northern Theater.

But, the PLA never publicizes information about it and the PLA is always changing.
We do not know the details in real time.

The picture information is real, the text information is my personal analysis and judgment.

Sorry in case I wasn't clear ... I know, but my point was to ask, if we know the number of this NTC unit or if we only know it is a frontline unit?

There is no force number. The news uses the term “某旅”. This is the standard terminology used by CCTV when reporting military news. They never use troop numbers in the news.

In order to speed up the development of the J-35A, it is possible that PLAAF will directly give the military testing of the J-35A to the Northern Theater. Manufacturers and users are in one region, communication is very easy and some problems are handled very quickly.

Interesting ... possible units in the NTC are sparse!

Directly close to Shenyang no unit makes sense and the next/closest unit then is either Anshan (flying J-20) or some training units!

For sure and even more so such nerds like me ;) that's the game I like.

However, at least by my understanding there are certain procedures to follow and I don't expect them to be vastly different for the J-35A's service entry even more when they have been similar or the same with all other recent fighter types like J-10C, J-16 and J-20!

As such I expect one of the FTTB units to get them first and then one of the premier or traditional top units like the former 1st, 2nd or the 3rd Air Divisions and its Air Regiments.

Will be exciting to see ...
 
By the way, a question again from the numbers nerd: Am I wrong or does the number 3551 simply doesn't make sense? According to what we thought, then the 35 would stand for J-35, the 5 for the 5th subtype and the 1 for the 1st prototype. Actually, it doesn't make sense ...

Actually the naval version are numbers according to a 35000X or recently 350X pattern and so 351X would be more realistic for the J-35A. Or am I wrong?
